Junk
I bought this based off the good reviews. My current antenna loses connection when the wind blows, so I wanted something that wouldn't be so big and had less surface area to get blown around. However, I could not even get the channel that ALWAYS comes in good with the other antenna. I tried tightening the connections, and changing the amplifier to a closer distance. Nothing seemed to work. I even stretched the cord as far as it would go and put it up high as I could. I got some digitizing with that. So ..almost. Definitely crap. Returned.

Greatly reduced pixelation/buffering issue
I previously had an antenna I paid only about $25 for and ran into issues all the time with pixelation. After getting this one I no longer have that problem. My picture quality is great and I love being able to watch stuff all the way through without pixelation interruption. It was worth the $$.

Being a "Tech" and a very technically savvy guy I'll give you an honest assessment of this Antenna. I'll use words like:Not likelyImpossibleNo WayNot ReallyHow this antenna gets a "5" Star rating in beyond me.First of all the cable that makes up the antenna is described as "High-Quality Thick Coaxial Cable" It is not. It's just over an 1/8 of an inch in diameter. Thick Coaxial cable would be "RG-59" and more specifically "RG-6" for anything that would receive high quality digital signals. There is no way this could be described as "high-quality" cable. Over the years I've used and installed miles of "high-quality" cable. Now to be fair this antenna does pull in some HD signals but they have a tendency to be intermittent and choppy.Which brings me to my 2nd point. It states in the description that this has an 1100 Mile Range (not likely for you or me). Don't believe that for a second!!! With just the amplifier hooked to the back of my new LG-TV (USB plugged in) I picked up 51 channels. Mind you that the exterior Antenna is not connected to the Amplifier. So some channels came in clear and some not really at all. I started off this way because I wanted to see what would come in without the exterior antenna hooked up. So then I proceeded to hook up the exterior Antenna to the amplifier and place it in a clear window facing Southeast. Still only 51 channels (some came in clearer). I then ran the antenna on the exterior of my house up about 11feet up and I picked up a total of 65 channels. Now being only 30 miles from the Canadian Border you'd expect to see something from CBC......Nothing. I only picked up the local channels (which I expected) and some off channels like Ion and HSN.Also let me be very, very clear. If you're expecting 600 channels you'll be lucky to get 60. Also you will not receive "HBO" as depicted in the main picture. The only way you'll get "HBO" is if you already subscribe to it. "HBO" is not a "Free-Air" signal. That's real. Also I did contact tech support and they gave some basic installation tips for better reception etc....All of which I did. Still at 61 (give or take) channels. But to be honest I didn't need someone to tell me how to face or extend an antenna properly. It's common sense. So does it work and pick up some local channels? Yes it does. Will it pick up 1100 miles (not really)? Please show me how, I would LOVE to see that!!!Bottom line? I would pass on this, there's other brands out there for 1/2 the cost and will do the same thing. I don't see how you could pick up a transmission from 1100 miles away. In my case I proved it to be impossible. I thought by reading the reviews I'd get an honest assessment of this device. I'm not sure I did.....Knowing what I know I'll put a true Aerial Antenna outside. I just tried a shortcut by using this device. It didn't really work and live up to it's "about this item" description.

There are no open air channels forget using an antenna anymore
Like many who have purchased and reviewed, the advertising for this product and fact for any of the TV antenna products don't work because there are no open air channels in any areas, the best thing is to just simply stay away from this technology my guess is this is all excess stock that they're trying to get rid of and I was stupid enough to buy two of them

You get what you pay for.
15 channels only and half of those didn’t work. Zero local channels like the very basic as described. Television tower not even 60 miles away. I’m thinking it’s no where close to 900 miles. I’m just outside of a major city. Shouldn’t be this bad. It’s Is going back.

I could not leave 0 stars!
What a waste of money. The only channels I could get with it I can get clearer with a paperclip. The local and distance switch changes the color of the light, that's all. If I could get even a couple of channels, I would not mind. My present indoor antenna gives me 45 channels. I wanted this for my shop, for infrequent use, so it didn't have to be that great.
