This product worked well. I used the primer first and then 3 coats of paint. Would definitely recommend stippling the second and third coats as it delivers a better effect. The flecks of stone in the paint give a textured finish, which was fine for me.Admittedly I was renovating a stone fireplace and covering with a very similar colour, but it worked and masked all the stains and marks. Great product.

i purchased this product because I wanted to cover over a 1960's tile fireplace. both the primer and the sandstone paint was easy to apply and the finish was brill.I now have a fireplace that looks modern and hardwearing.the price for the two tins of paint was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this product and I would definitely use again

Its perfect and would be even better had I bought the right colour.Choose wisely to avoid an expensive mistake.

I had a very unattractive orangey brown and cream tiled fireplace dating from 1910, so although a nice shape it was pretty ugly. After I used this product I felt the finish was still a bit "patchy", I therefore had to finish the job with some similar coloured paint brought from Homebase.I am now very happy with the overall finish and it is certainly an improvement on the original.

Excellent! Would recommend. Made my fire surround look amazing! To begin with I didn't think it was going to look very good as it took several coats of paint, but after the 5th coat (I applied 6 coats) it actually looked like stone. I also have carving and rosette features on my fire surround which I was quite worried about painting over and non of the previous reviews mentioned anything about paining over features. I needn't have worried because they also turned out brilliantly! So pleased! It does take time and you need to apply each coat thinly but it is well worth it.

Beware.I ordered the colour Magna Sandstone.I should have ordered a colour swatch first.The colour looked lovely on the Amazon website and Stonelux website.After two coats of primer and three coots of the paint.... I hated it.The actual colour is an ugly shade of brown and the finish is more like sandpaper than stone.I’ve had to prime and paint with masonary paint to rescue it.Really disappointing. I don’t understand the rave reviews.

Easy to follow instructions applied 3coats of primer and 4top coats best applied with roller especially final coat when visitors come all comment how good it looks,would highly recommend.
