Had for 2 years and LOVE it
In June of this year I will have had this printer for two years and it is still going strong! I do a lot of printing, bith color and everyday printing. It prints out beautiful photos!! I love that the inks are not very expensive. It prints heavyweight paper with ease. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone!!

Handles Cardstock like a champ for my fellow DIY Brides
I bought this printer to work as both an every day printer on regular paper, as well as for crafting my own wedding invitation suite. When I bought this printer, I was looking for an affordable printer that could handle heavy card stock. I initially bought it thinking I would use 110 pound card stock paper, but I can now say that it prints on 140 pound paper like a pro. (I did feed this weight one by one into the rear tray). The colors and fonts are crisp and beautiful. For anyone who is a fellow DIY-er like me, stationer, crafter, or everyday printer, this is a great option at an awesome value. I’d imagine it’s great at printing full color photos too but I haven’t tried that yet.

Basic, single-sided printing only
This printer would be good for a person who prints a single pages from the same one or two devices while on the same Wifi signal. This is not good for printing double-sided documents or for multiple users on different types of devices or who have different printing preferences.I bought this to replace an all-in-one Canon Pixma that finally died. This iX6820 uses the same ink cartridges, which was the primary reason I chose this model; we have a lot of left over ink to use.**Set-Up**The printer set-up was confusing because I was using my phone and the only instructions for connecting to the WiFi were buried in an app. It doesn't make sense there wasn't a simple 'connect to wifi' instruction in the Getting Started papers. Once it was connected to Wifi, it's easy for a computer or phone to connect.**Lack of information for errors**Once connected, we learned another challenge related to set-up. One of the default settings was to auto-detect the size of the paper, so when my daughter tried printing a photo 4x6, it refused to print and flashed yellow, indicating an error. The only way I was able to stop the job and reset the printer was by powering off and on. However, we still didn't know what caused the error and how to prevent it in the future. The problem is that the flashing yellow light is the extent of the information provided on the printer. This light is the only one on the unit that's not either the power or WiFi. It could just as easily indicate a paper jam as an empty ink cartridge. There no LCD screen to explain, and the printer status on the app is only described as an error. The trouble shooter is actually a link to the digital user manual, which basically told me to check the app.I eventually identified the problem was the default setting for 'auto-identify paper size' meant that the 8 1/2"x11" paper that was loaded was incompatible with the 4"x6" photo my daughter was trying to print. un-checking 'auto-identify paper size' then allowed the 4"x6" photo to be printed on the 8 1/2"x11" paper.**No Double-sided Printing**Beware - this does not print double-sided! However, the printer preferences allow you to select 'duplex' printing, which is very misleading. In reality, it'll print on the back-side if you manually move the paper. I'm annoyed that not a single review mentions this. Am I the only person who prints multiple pages at a time and likes to save paper????

Oh yeah.....no equal!!
Ordered on the 20th - got the 30th - guess you know I'm now a Prime member!! Got it set up and printed 4 8x10 borderless pictures. Absolutely perfectly beautiful!!! Then received the 13x19 photo semi gloss and this morning - 4/7 - printed the first 13x19 - BORDERLESS!!!! And again absolute perfectly beautiful!!!! I don't have any magnifying glass so I'm looking at the picture as a regular normal person would - oh geeeee. I showed it to several other people and they loved it - couldn't believe I printed myself. I explained buying the new printer and how good it is. SSSsooooo.....from a regular type person;s point of view - this printer is fantastic!!!!!Update 4/9/17 - Have printed out 3 13x19 pictures plus the 4 8x10's - all borderless - all perfect!!!! I've sold everything I've printed so far with no problems. I strongly recommend this printer to anyone.Update 7/9/17 Still using the ix6820 - such a good printer!!! I do mostly 13x19 and 11x17 - working on second pkg of Canon Pro Luster photo paper - not one single problem!! The Arthur Imaging Ink works great with this printer too - no leaks, runs or anything - just clear vibrant pictures. Have used one pkg of 28 cartridges and waiting for 2 more pkgs to come.Update 11/12/18 No problems yet. Was laid up in rehab for 9 months after operation so ink cartridges sat in printer unused. Got home and printed a 13x19 after updating the drivers. Ink printed great. Still using Arthur Imaging Ink - why leave a good thing. Ink didn't dry out, printer work great after updating it - couldn't have done better than this. And another update 12/13/19 Just spent 13 months in rehab after another serious operation. 13 months my IX6820 just sat completely unused. No updating this time, didn't change cartridges - just added 11x17 photo paper and turned it on. Again - pictures printed beautifully. No clogs, no nothing - like I'd just taken the printer out of the box and used the first time. 9 months of setting unused the first time, 13 months the second time - any other printer would have somehow died but not this one. Still with Arthur Imaging Ink - they have a marriage that's going to last forever!!! When I said in the header "no equal" I didn't know how true that statement was until now. I'm using WIFI still and all I can say is treat it right and you can't find better.Ok - major update here. Last March, 2020, the recovery center where I am after a major operation shut down 100%. No ins or outs. My wound is 90% healed sssoo......been without my printer since Feb - last time I made a trip home. Bought it March, 2017 and up to Feb., 2020 (3 yrs) it was still working perfect. Being without a printer I have 5 months of photos backed up in my computer - and believe me, there's a lot!!! So, Amazon was out of them but offered buying options. I paid $130 for my other one, paid $306 plus $15 in shipping for the exact same printer from a 3rd party. Amazon said I'd get it between July 28th and 31st. Got it today - July 20th!!!! Wow - was I surprised and very happy. Haven't got it set up yet - tomorrow hopefully. Will update soon as I get it set up but wanted to let people know that even tho it came from a 3rd party the shipping was fantastic!!
