Great little Video Surveillance!
This is a great tool. Very user friendly for anyone who can read and follow easy instructions. Love the touch screen. I have camera's set up 75' from the monitor. They are both on different floors (upstairs/downstairs). Great reception with no "buffering" as long as i leave the door to the downstairs open. Other camera's are closer and have no problem receiving a signal even though there are walls between the camera and the monitor. I tried a different brand previously and it just didn't have the signal strength to be of use for me. This has a much stronger signal evidently. I do have PC/ modem/router/electric cords etc. which i thought could interfere with this possibly, but it doesn't seem to have any affect. Each camera must be plugged into an outlet. It has a fine wire cord w/ an extension which lets you reach a regular ceiling height with ease if you want to mount the camera up high. The Monitor has to be plugged in also but has a LiOn battery and so it will stay on for several hours even after the power is off. You can use this tool just for personal use and manage your own recordings/delete etc., from the monitor or you can download apps and hook up to your wi-fi and be able to monitor/manage your system from afar. Pretty versatile! Great little piece of equipment. Pics are small, but remarkably clear. I bought one because i saw someone else's and couldn't believe it. They had their camera's outside, and it was picking up movement 200' away and the voices outside were audible. So far, I think it's a great buy! More later as i learn more about it...

No quite there
It's okay. Basic and decent day time video quality. Poor night time video quality. No motion trigger alarm - one of the key reasons I bought the system. My bad for presuming. No time stamp. Very poor touch screen interaction - have to tap several times to trigger actions. IR sensors pick up traffic, bugs, bushes moving in the breeze, mice, chickens, crows... I thought it was heat + motion. Guess not. Okay, I guess I just wish I could aim the IR sensors independently from the camera. I either don't get enough of my driveway in frame or it fills up an 8GB card per day with all of the road traffic the cameras pick up. Take forever to review hundreds of worthless recordings. Good concept overall and good price point. The first three items I mentioned are pretty key, to me. I'm already looking for a replacement unit, that also works with these cameras. Please evaluate the problems you are solving for your customers and the competitive advantages that could easily make this product more marketable.

Great Unit Great Price
Assembly is simple. Instruction book is lengthy. Comes with 8GB MICRO SD Card and a Standard SD Adapter Card for transferring recordings to the PC. The Touch Screen Pad System took me awhile to figure out why I couldn't get it to respond. Main icons around the edge of screen works when touching at the very edges of icons and screen. Screen changes zippy then. Electrical socket availability is the key to set up cameras. My Barn is nearly 600 feet from the house, and I was able to position one camera that gives me a 3 bar signal to my living room near a window. That's great.Sound quality is clear, but not loud. Scheduled Recordings work well, just make sure your clock is set correctly. A 2 hour schedule was segmented in 15 minute clips. The 2 Cameras are pre-set and paired with the monitor, so they are plug and go ready.Great live color viewing, and daytime recording. Night vision give a good view. Detection for recording is very sensitive. I get a lot of 2 min recordings at night, and don't see anything out there.

GREAT!!!
Update - 2016/01/02 - Should have posted this sooner - Changed starts from 5 to 4 - after receiveing this unit, about May of 2015 we started having write errors on the disk - tried 6 different SD cards and still had the prolbem. sent back and problem corrected. We just update our review of the G755 - many problems after 2 years. Please see that review - dropped ratting from 5 stars to 2.Update - 2015/03/18 - We now have 2 Uniden G955 systems and one G755 - a total of 3 systems with 12 cameras - 3 GC43s and 9 GC45s. We've pleased. We've heard complaints about interference with WIFI and only had a problem when we had all 3 systems with the 12 cameras setup next to out laptop. Put 2 systems in another room and problem went away. Do have a problem from time to time with the videos FPS. But, I just reset the unit and we're fine again. Also, the clarity is ok...not like HD but it's ok. We've tried SWANN and Trident and have had all kinds of problems The Unidens are plugged in and run. We have them all hooked the the Uniden Video web site and also have the Uniden Android App and it all works fine. Not like some of the others we tried. WE have a G755 and want to add more cameras. And as we were happy with the G755 we looked and and decided on the Uniden G955 as all accessories are compatible between the two, with the exception of the SD card. The G755 takes a standard SD card and the G955 takes a micro SD card. System came right up and as the monitor is larger I moved 2 of the critical cameras from our G755 to the G955...a snap. The only problem I have is the cameras, when outside, and more than 50' from the monitor have some quality issue when using infered night stuff. In talking to Uniden I found that they have just release a next extender antenna for the GC45 cameras. Well, I got two, from Uniden as I could not find them on Amazon. They should be here withing 4 business days. Unlike Amazons free 4 weeks deliveries.2014/06/28 - follow up....we added the extender antenna to one of our GC45 cameras. Helped with receiption. Not perfect but the camera is acquired quicker after preforming other functions on the monitor. Also, we are having some grief with the videos. I a question into Uniden - it seems that the 8GB micro SD Card is the issue. When the disk gets 50% full the video Frames Per Second suffers and you loose video. It seems FPS drops for the rated 25 to about 5 per second. Don't have that problem with our G755 and a standard 32GB SD Card. 50% capacity on our G955 with 4 cameras is about 10 days. So, I started purging the older videos and the problem goes away.
