I just bought my second ruler. Bought the first one 6 years ago - the first one is fine but I really beat it up. I use it to cut leather. I love the metal edge which I touch up with sandpaper every once in a while to keep smooth.

I love the idea of this ruler to help teach measurement. The metal is sturdy and it has a thin cork backing so it does not slide around when you are using it, however, the edges are not rounded and are sharp, not knife sharp, it won't cut you if you just touch it or run your finger along the edge gently, but sharp enough that if you grab it wrong or someone takes from your grasp, there is the potential for it to cut you. The corners are also sharp. The measurement is accurate. It is just a sticker that is stuck onto the metal and some other reviews have said the sticker has peeled up, but this has not happened to mine. It actually looks like it is quite stuck together and I don't foresee a problem with that. Overall, it is what I was looking for and I'm happy with it. Just be careful if younger children are going to be using it as it could cause some serious damage if they whack someone with it.

I love this ruler. I have a hard time with fractions. Now I can use this for so many different projects. I initially wanted it to use for my journaling projects, but I've used it in my sewing projects too. The cork is so helpful to hold the paper from slipping. I've also used it on Leather pieces.

I love the incremental measurements printed on this ruler, in metric and imperial. There is good color contrast between the printed numbers and the background ruler colors which makes the measurements very easy to see. I like the handy 12" size for my crafting purposes.I do not like the fairly sharp edges and corners. The edges aren't so sharp that you're going to sustain a terrible cut - you'd have to push it pretty hard against your skin for that, but the corners have the potential to give you a decently uncomfortable scratch! I'd definitely keep it away from children.Even with the sharp edges I feel this product still deserves five stars because of its accuracy and easy readability.I would buy this ruler again, as well as recommend it to anyone needing easy to read numbers.

This is the 3rd ruler i have orderedfrom this company. The first one was so useful that I ordered a second one. That one was not usable as the ruler decal was not applied evenly. I returned it. A year later I tried again and received a perfect ruler. I pleased with this purchase!
