Q: How can you flatten this out after shipment

Once it is unrolled and in the vehicle, it will flatten over time.

Q: what do you put in the little pockets/slots on the left and ride side near the door?

We have a first aid kit on one side and a flashlight on the other. The cargo tray has nothing to do with those pockets though.

Q: How thick is the material?

I do not know the thickness but I can vouch for the quality. I have had my liner for over 3 years and it has held up beyond my expectations.

Q: Will this fit a 2016 crv touring model? I have seen posts where not all liners fit all sub- models.
