Emu Eggshell

The egg was exactly as described, the package was a little crumpled, but the egg was so well paded in the box that there were no scratches on it. The videos from this seller on youtube were very helpful (Denis Baker Emus). It looks just like the picture except for a couple tiny little dings the size of pin-heads. They are much more shiny then the ones I have seen at emu ranches I have visited, they must be healthy birds. The egg arrived on the other side of the country three days before the earliest shipping date estimate.

The eggs range from a beautiful lighter green to a much darker one. It is an interesting and strange object nonetheless. Whether you are going to use it for crafts or just to possess I should think you will be satisfied. The package was very poorly mishandled by USPS and smashed to bits but the inner box containing the egg itself was left unharmed as was the egg, showing that the seller did an excellent job packaging.Edit:I lowered my rating to 4 stars after receiving two more eggs in another order. They are much smaller than the original, being 1/2-2/3 the size. They are heavily misshapen and rotund, meaning they are from a bird which shouldn't be used for egg production. There are also several blemishes on the shell of both. I am quite disappointed because the seller was excellent, but now I have found the quality to be inconsistent.

Love this egg. My daughter shattered our Emu Egg and I found this seller to replace ours. This Emu egg definitely has more green undertones from our previous one (it was older and bought at a garage sale, so perhaps colors change). It's almost black with green hues. I love it though and it was protected nicely. I wish the hole was not as big, but you cannot see it on the stand. Thanks!

I have never been so happy with a product in my whole life as I was when I feasted my eyes on this Emu Egg. The size was enormous and the egg was cleaned so well. I could tell that the seller takes pridein his products. I have never been so happy holding something so beautiful in my hands. I have it init's own special little box. I would trust this seller with anything sold.

I called the distributor right after I ordered to make sure he would send me eggs that were at both the dark and light end of the spectrum. He said they were mostly dark green, but would do his best to pick through and give me what I asked for. I was very impressed by the customer service and the quality of the eggs. They were package nicely and came in a timely manner.

Interesting object

The size and coloring of this emu egg is picture perfect. I was impressed with the packaging - it was obvious that a lot of care had been taken to ensure the safe arrival of this delicate item. I bought the egg (along with a holder) as a gift for my fiancée and I'm extremely happy with it and I know that she will be, too!

I bought these to make jewelry boxes out of and they were fantastic. They do have a largish hole in the bottom, but other then that just as pictured. Just remember if you are going to carve it, do it outside and wear a mask because the dust can still have bacteria in it.
