Amazing book, just the right size and has the stories of Herland of The Yellow Wallpaper along with other short stories by Gilman.

It was for an HONORS Class in English. Thank you for allowing me to purchase in this format of the literature.

Gorgeously literary portrayal of a descent into madness/hysteria.

This item was in great condition. I received it in a timely manner and it looked brand new. There were no pages missing or highlighted. I would recommend anyone to but from this person.

The Yellow Wallpaper is a book you have to put together piece by piece to figure it out. It builds up slowly to the final ending. The woman is locked in a room with her child because something isn’t right with her. It is hard to figure out because it is coming from her point of view, so it is hard to look at it through her husband’s eyes. Through her eyes, she can’t seem to ignore the yellow wallpaper in her room. It doesn’t seem to be a problem really until later in the story when she says she sees something in the wallpaper. However, she is just crazy from pregnancy and is locked in a room so she doesn’t do anything bad to herself.I like this story because it was different from others that I have read. It had a plot twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. Also, I liked it because it kind of had a creepy aspect to it which I am always interested in. It was a really well put together story, and introduces the reader to something they wouldn’t really see a good story being about. -SRThe novel of the Yellow Wallpaper written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, is a fiction story, written in 1885, based off a woman stuck in her imagination. You didn’t really know what was going to happen with her mind and thoughts. This story follows a woman’s path down her breaking point, but what that is you will have to read to find out.This book was very different and I don’t usually read books like this. There was a lot of different directions you could have taken with what was wrong with the woman and her husband. I wouldn’t recommend this book for younger kids or people who don’t like not having a definite answer to the question that they may ask themselves while reading this book. -KC

Amazing short story, so many questions entering my head, was she having delusions? was John causing her illness? Was he controlling her and then gaslighting her? Was John having an affair? Are the characters real or just in her head and was she in an institution?
