Jane Packer's Guide to Flower Arranging: Easy Techniques for Fabulous Flower Arranging

Gorgeous pictures with many ideas for weddings in particular. Ms. Packer's examples show wonderful combinations of materials with some interesting additions such as artichokes, muscari bulbs, and potted plants such as primula and cyclamen. There are step by step instructions for the projects with pictures. The projects are perhaps more suited for those with experience, but new flower arrangers will appreciated the beautiful arrangements and learn a lot as well.

I recently had a gathering of people here at home and wanted to do low centerpieces for the tables. Found the perfect idea and instructions immediately upon opening the book for garland-type centerpieces. They turned out beautifully!

This is a nice floral arranging book. I haven't specifically made any of the arrangements in the book, but I find it a useful reference book for all types of floral arranging.

This book includes beautiful flower composition examples, but it's not really a guide that will show you step by step in detail how to arrange flowers. I was looking for a guide where I could learn from what are the principles of flower arrangements in general, like for example which colors or flowers are good to go together, what should be the ratio of one type of flower to another, etc. If you are looking for an inspiration, this book might be the right choice for you. But if you want to find a useful guide of flower arrangements, then skip this position.

Step by step illustrated instructions accompany the designs, & it's easy to make changes to suit your own tastes.She explains the techniques needed to get good results, & the book is helpfully divided into sections for for doing flowers for gifts, to decorate your home & for celebrations (including weddings.) I'm sure some brides would be inspired to create their own special bridal flowers after reading this book.I found the book to be very easy to use, but I do have some experience in floristry. It would be a marvelous present for a professional florist to spark their creativity, or for anyone who loves beautiful flowers & likes to arrange them as gifts Or for their own home.A very reasonably priced, excellent value book.

there are some really great designs in here. I am so hoping to add more of her books to my collection. lol

I have just received 2 books from Jane Packer - "Flower Course" and "Guide to Flower Arranging". Please be aware that these 2 books are exactly the same apart from the title and one book being hard cover and one paper back. Extremely disappointed at this and an absolute waste of my money. 表紙の写真が、以前購入した「JANE PACKER'S FLOWER COURSE」の中の写真と同じだったので、勝手に「FLWER COURSE」をさらに詳細に説明した本なのかな、と理解して購入したのですが、中身を見たら全く同じでした。タイトルと表紙の写真だけ替えて中身が全く同じ。そして、どちらもハードカバーで、もちろん判型も同じです。どうしてこんなことが可能なのでしょうか？外国の出版社では普通に行われているのでしょうか？
