Select the voltage based on the device you are connecting and trying to communicate with. This selector either delivers the 5.0 V from the USB or steps the 5 V from usb down to 3.3 V depending on the voltage required from the microcontroller you connect to.

Q: I cannot find the board on arduino on my macbook. although after intallation of the driver i can find it under utilities and usb, what should i do?
