It’s looks good and a fair price

It sits very happily on my kitchen unit. I like being able to tear off a sheet of paper from it easily without picking up the whole role.

I bought this OXO kitchen roll holder based on its numerous positive reviews on Amazon. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with this product. First, I find the unit excessively tall, and the middle plastic piece that holds the roll in place often sticks out at the top, even with a standard Plenty kitchen roll. Second, the base is enormous. It may be sturdy but i find that although it's designed for wider rolls, it takes up a lot of space on my rather large countertop.The one-handed tear feature seemed appealing at first, but it's not particularly impressive. I ended up buying larger XL-sized rolls just to hide the grey plastic in the middle, as it disrupts the clean look of my kitchen.I've started looking at other kitchen roll holders, as this one is quite pricey and hasn't met my expectations. Overall, I'm not impressed with this purchase at all.

No idea where the other UK reviews came from on this Amazon site but this product is unsuitable for our usual kitchen towel rolls.What’s more, it’s not as advertised in the image on Amazon or even on the OXO cardboard sleeve that comes with it! It’s not a smooth column, it has “fins” sticking out.I almost ruined a new roll of kitchen towel trying to squash it on to the central column but the “fins” - not shown on the Amazon images - make it way too wide.The approx width of the central column with fins is 43mm whereas the kitchen towel roll cardboard is approx 35mm.Wasn’t expecting such a duff product from OXO which usually has a good reputation. To be returned!

Overall liked how it looks but disappointed that it is dinted.
