The pickups are great and are rebuilt for the 2016 year
Well I have owned and played schecters the entire time I have been playing guitar and this one is different. First of all I believe that this is a 2016 model because of the Templar fret inlays. So its an improvement on all diamond series aspects so far. After I took this guitar out of the box I found zeros problems with it and was in one piece. As usual. I then checked the body work and it was solid as ever. Just as all the schecters I have ever played have been. The pickups are great and are rebuilt for the 2016 year. For those of you who are not very familiar with schecter guitars, the pickups can punch through every sound circumstance whether it be sitting alone in your room, playing a gig with your local death metal band, or creating mixes when recording songs. This guitar can do it all. Its a great guitar for any type of circumstance. For example I teach guitar privately and am set with a wide array of musical challenges. Meaning that with one student I could be teaching one direction, and the next hour I could be teaching Dimmu Borgir to another. This guitar can go from E standard tuning down to B standard or drop A within an hour and hold the tuning flawlessly. It uses grover self- lubricating turners which are un-beatable in my book. The neck is also great for lightning fast scaling and has an extremely fat sounding chug. But even put up against a clean channel it can still punch out Minor Swing By Django Reinhardt. Its just an all around great instrument! I could go on and on but I will have to end here.5/5 starts. Its a Winner!

For the money, my god its beautiful
I can't even begin to tell you how well this guitar is crafted. The pictures don't do it justice. But let's talk about sound. Most guitars at this price range will never match the great sound of much more expensive guitars, and I'm not saying this guitar will match those guitars but you have to know what you're looking for in the ear. Real musicians will know after spending some time with a guitar to know what their issues might be and this guitar isn't perfect but for intermediate / beginner players, it is probably the purchase that you will never regret for the money. This is truly an outstanding musical instrument. If you like simplicity but edginess with quality material feel, fair to good sound, and yes fair pricing, you have a winner. I can't speak well enough about the Omen 6.

Awesome after a pro setup
This guitar is beautiful and sounds great when properly setup. I'm assuming anyone who's buying an electric guitar at this price point is probably not a virtuoso, and neither am I, so I am rating based on how it sounds and looks to me. It has great sustain compared to other guitars I've played, and it definitely delivers good hard rock/metal distortion sound with my amp. I would have given five stars, but it was not even close to being set up when I received it. After opening the box, I plugged in, tuned to standard, and started playing. I played an F note, high e string, first fret and it sounded awful. It also had very bad string buzz on the low E as well. I'm not an experienced guitar guru, but I tried to resolve based on what I know. I thought maybe it could be a truss rod adjustment since the strings appeared to be touching the first fret bar. I decided to change the strings before I tried anything like that, but changing the strings didn't help. They sent two hex keys along with the guitar so I tried the truss rod adjustment, but neither fit, or I completely forgot how to use a wrench. I shined a light into the opening and it appeared to be a star pattern head, not a hex. I tried some star wrenches from home, but had no luck. I didn't want to risk damaging it, so I took it to a music store and paid $35 for a professional setup and now it sounds great. I know this is not a big deal, and I'm nitpicking a bit, but I was disappointed that it was so far off out of the box.

Amazing
After I got not so lucky with a beginner guitar package from another company, I was weary about going in for this considerably more expensive model. Well, after doing some research about Schecter, I'm glad I did. The guitar feels solid and arrived ready to play with only minor tuning needed. It's beautiful and it sounds great. I don't think you can go wrong with Schecter.

Great build quality and very smooth and rich sound
Feels really nice, a bit heavy but a very solid build quality. Sounds amazing for a beginner guitar. My daughter loves it, it's a huge step up from her old Squier mini which kept going out of tune.

It's okay😎🤙
Skeptical, when I decided to purchase this guitar. Never heard of Schecter and the last guitar I bought on-line with a name I had heard of for years turned out to be, let's say, less than satisfactory. When I tuned this gem up, plugged in and struck my first power cord, not only was I surprised but over joyed.Yes for the price, the action was great, the intonation was great and it is just plain sexy looking. I got the black.Pickups were hot to mellow allowing me to go from mild to wild.Would I recommend this instrument?Absolutely!! If you have an unlimited source of income, go spend $1500 to $2000 for a Gibson or a Fender. But I have to say this is one of the best guitars I've ever had the privilege to own and play.Go buy yourself one and have some fun!!!
