Atlas Sound PB21XEB Adjustable Boom - Ebony

The length is several inches shorter than the description and therefore did not fill my requirement. I will add that when I asked to return due to this a full refund was made without a problem.My measurements were it adjusts from 22-1/2" to 35-1/2 - not 25-1/2" to 38-1/2.

Back in the day Atlas was the best you could get, the best Mic stands and Booms you could buy, made out of material that would last 50 years!Unfortunately this boom is not up to those previous standards, not bad, but totally overpriced.And of course now made in China.

My biggest complaints are one it only extends 4 inches further than the fixed boom. And the locking knobs could be more robust.

heavy duty very good product

This boom extends longer than other booms I've used. This was useful to me as I am a guitarist with a large pedal board and I need the boom to extend a good distance to reach me. Combined with Atlas' MS20E stand, I can place the stand anywhere convenient on stage and still get the mic to reach my mouth. Using tripod stands, I would have to usually have the stand and boom reach me at an angle to prevent tipping from the weight of the mic. The boom is also high quality and I expect it to last for many years, if not the rest of my life.

Simply the best! Atlas are the real deal. Heavy duty, sturdy, others strip out, or have parts break, but not Atlas. I gig with their stands and booms because they work every time.

First boom I've used that doesn't creep or droop or sag when used with serious microphones, even at weird angles. Totally worth every penny. I'm slowly replacing every other boom with this one.

Misleading pictures, thought I was buying a whole stand. Note for home studio novices: this is just the arm, not a stand. Now I get to delay my setup even longer and return it.
