My initial one came broken (i think due to shipping) but i was able to get a new one super easily…. and it works absolutely fantastically! it’s very easy to use and as far as i can tell the readings are extremely accurate. Just make sure that you wait a while after your last drink to take a reading or it’ll be too high :) (that’s the same as any breathalyzer though)

Easy to use. Small enough to fit in your purse or pocket. Comes with extra blow tubes so that you can share with others.

Worth the money. DO OT DRINK AND DRIVE. This tool will ensure the decision is based on data provided by a BAC calculator that will give you reasonable reasons NOT TO DRINK AND DRIVE.con: I am not sure how long before it is NOT completely accurate.

Worked fine with the directions. Took a couple of times . Very sensitive so when u inhale after 02 u kinda have to be on spot before u exhale for a sample Pay attention to to beeps and prompts and it should work. Tried it after a few more and I got a higher boc number. Tried it in the morning and got 0.00 . Don’t assume it’s spot on if your drinking and driving .

DON'T BE STUPIDThe Logic: Here in California, a DUI will set you back about $20k, not to mention insurance doubling for the next 7 years. Oh, and picking up trash on the side of the highway for 50 hours. But that is just time and money. A local mom and her two kids were killed by an impaired - not drunk - driver. I could not live with that..The Product: Small, about the size of a narrow deck of card. Nice display; just the numbers, so not too bright.Like: Accurate; at minimum, the goal is to save a lot of time and money; no point in using a product that will give one a false sense of security. AA batteries will last 1000 tests. Mouthpiece easy to wash. Very portable. Discrete display. Well built; I anticipate long service.Wish list: Would like to have a volume control, or better, a vibrate option. It has a memory button, but would like a date/time stamp on the result.Bottom Line: Take the guess work out of a night out and avoid a night in jail, or worse. $100 may seem a lot until you look at the risks. Saving a little money now, or not buying a breathalyzer at all, could be the stupidest decision you make.

Bought this to see who is safe to drive after a night of drinking. Also a big use is having contests to see who can blow the highest number. Highest I've seen is .27, but testing is still being conducted. This seems to be very accurate. You need to wait 10-15 minutes after your last drink before you blow otherwise it will be way off. Battery life is very good. We usually will pass it around at a certain point in the night and take turns blowing. The unit makes you wait around 15 seconds between each test, but it seems to be able to accurately test 7-8+ people all blowing back to back. Very fun and helpful! It's very interesting to see a number associated with how drunk you feel.

I own a sober living program that peeforms breath alcohol testing on all of our clients nightly. We own multiple other BACtract models and have never had an issue with any of them. I needed another one right away and ordered tgis instead of the Scout because it had a kuch faster shipping time. It does not work at all. It gives a false positive reading between 0.12 - 0.14 (1.5 times the legal limit) on people who havent been drinking every time. I even tested myself and my staff and compared to another device which was showing 0.000 on everyone. I attempted to return it because it is obviously defective and Amazon said it is not eligible to return even if it is defective. So, I basically just paid $100 for a piece of garbage and have no recourse.

I am the GM of two sober homes in Chicago, and we have used BACtrack since we opened 4 years ago. I just replace our original Trace, and got a second one about two years ago. I find them to be accurate and reliable. I like the disposable mouthpieces, as I sometimes breathalyze 23 men in two hours. (The mouthpieces are dishwasher safe, by the way!)As a side note, I don’t recommend the recalibration service, just save your time & money and buy a new one. (There’s a good chance they are just going to tell you it wasn’t serviced often enough, and can’t be recalibrated anyway.)

Bought this because I had always heard the "the legal limit is 0.08" line, but that really means nothing if you've never had your BAC tested ever in your life.At first, the results were all over the place and I even had one that read insanely high for no reason. But then I realized I had still been drinking my drink 2 minutes previous and the instructions say to wait 20 minutes after eating and drinking before testing.After that I finished my drinks and waited at least 20+ minutes before testing and did 3 tests in a row - they read 0.04, 0.039, and 0.039. Probably 25 minutes after that I did another test and got 0.038. These results seemed very consistent, so just make sure you actually follow the "no food or drinks for 20 minutes" rule if you want accurate readings.I'm guessing a lot of the more negative reviews on this thing are from people who were not following the directions, because at first I was like "what the ... why is each reading so different" until I started using it correctly.

Really good & easy to use breathalyzer. The size is perfect! Quite small, but powerful, will fit to any small handbag or even trousers pocket. Comes in with practical case and have plenty of spare mouth pieces. Definitely worth the price!

Semplice e affidabile. Ripetendo più volte la misurazione, questa risulta sempre coerente, per poi scendere , lentamente, col passare del tempo e poi azzerarsi. Lo tengo in auto, se supero i 0,5, faccio guidare mia moglie. Per me è stato un ottimo acquisto.
