I bought two of these to go with the newly launched Amaran 100D's. On first use it was clear that with the double diffusion layers in place and the grid, the 100D's were struggling to send out ANY light, to the point where the softboxes were useless. At a minimum only use these with the 200D or more powerful lights if you need to overcome any form of 'daylight' or standard office light environments.I wanted to share this in a review in case it's useful for others too.They're also huge, so make sure you've got a big space!I have ended up just bouncing the light off the white ceiling of the room to create my diffused light, and these now sit in a corner unused, perhaps until I get more powerful lights in the future.

Really good softbox. Super easy to assemble, requires a little push to lock in the umbrella arms, then it's just Velcro'ing the diffusion material onto the sides all around. Can get it up and running in under a minute.Value for money super high for what it is. Comes in a carry bag with two pieces of diff material and a velcro egggrate too.

This is a great alternative to the more expensive brands. I am very happy I chose to purchase this. The only trouble I have is the mechanism for opening and closing it like and umbrella. It’s so big that I struggle, but that is through no fault of its design. Great product.

I use this soft box with a Godox SL60 video light for interviews and for main light source for live broadcast. Gives a beautifully soft light. Bigger than the Aputure light dome 2 and cheaper.

Used this soft box with Godox Video light attached via Bowen’s mount with ease. Unfortunately not umbrella style, but easy to put together none the less. Wouldn’t be ideal if you were putting it up and dow at different locations but mine just stays up and I’m happy!

Whomever said this is difficult to assemble is insane. It took all of 2 mins? The main unit opens like an umbrella, clips into the bowen’s mount then you velcro on the diffusers? Literally 2mins?Great value - very well made. I’m impressed and would buy again in a heartbeat 👍
