Good quality for the price!
The hose reel was surprisingly well made considering the price. It was easy to assemble in 15-20 mins. The overall quality was spot on. The only complaint, I wish the hose reel was offered in different colors, maybe a forest green? to blend into my landscaping a bit better. I would recommend and purchase again.

A great hose reel for a 100' hose
Struggling with a 100-foot hose in your backyard and wondering if you should get a hose holder that attaches to the wall or not? It was an easy decision for us as our house is stucco, so free-standing was the way to go. This hose reel is easy to use and rolls up easily with the crank, but here's something that everyone should know (because I didn't): if you're thinking that you can keep this hose reel attached to the spigot and still wheel it behind you from plant to tree, YOU CAN'T. You're still going to have to unfurl the hose and drag it around, then once you're done you'll need to reel it all back up with the hand crank. There is an 18" (or so) mini-hose that attaches directly to the spigot and into the frame, then your long (100') hose screws into the frame of the hose reel. This device is not something that aids you in watering your plants, unless you want to take it to some other area in the far side of the yard; then you'll have to unscrew the short hose from the spigot and then you are free to transport it to a different area where you can attach it to THAT spigot. So, the reeling part is easy and it keeps it nice and organized at the end of your yard, but somehow I thought I could magically use it as I watered large areas, but that's not what it's for! Lesson learned, but if you just need a hose reel that winds up easily, don't hesitate to get this one. Ours is still new, so I cannot comment on rusting as other reviewers have.

A very solid hose cart
I bought this cart to replace yet another plastic cart that managed to last two or three years. This time, I decided to go a step up, and get what my wife calls "the last hose cart we'll ever buy." (Time will tell!)It arrived well packed, with all the pieces, including screws. I'm reasonably good at putting things together -- I never met a Christmas toy that I couldn't assemble before morning -- and this cart went together in about 30 min. or so. The construction of the parts is really good, with a nice, solid feel, and a heavy enamel paint job. The hose connections are solid brass, and the crank system has good bearings. It's heavyweight, but not ridiculously so. If treated well, this thing should last for years. Everything goes together with two metric wrenches or sockets, plus a crescent wrench; if you can assemble a kid's bike, this is a piece of cake. Then, we had a little wrinkle ...One of the tires arrived flat as a pancake, and wouldn't inflate, no matter how many times I tried -- even at the gas station. The slip in the box said to call Liberty's 800 number between 9:00AM - 4:30PM Eastern Time for help. It was now 5:45 (EDT) on a Friday, but I decided to try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised when a polite man answered the phone, took my address, and promised that a replacement wheel would ship on Monday. On Thursday, I called again, this time at 8:35AM, and a woman answered the phone, found my tracking number, and told me the wheel was out for delivery that day. I put the fourth (fifth?) wheel on, and it works great! I'm not overjoyed about the bad wheel, but the mark of a good company is how well they fix mistakes, because they're bound to happen. Liberty gave me no hassle, they just sent a new wheel. I rate this at 4.5 stars, although the review system only allows whole stars. In use, the cart moves well, and turns nicely by tipping back on the handle to lift the front wheels off the ground. Turning front wheels might make this easier, buy I like the stability of the fixed wheels. It rolls over uneven ground without a hitch, and the nice, beefy handle will reel in a couple of hundred feet of water-filled hose without binding. The only complaint that I have is that the hose attaches straight out from the side, which leaves a service loop of hose around the outside of the rim of the reel; I wish it had a right-angle mount. (They're probably available at a hardware store. One note: The cart is rated for 300 feet of hose. That might be true if one uses the skinny green 'homeowner' style vinyl hose. I put 150 feet of reinforced rubber contractor-grade hose on the cart (might as well do the whole job right), and it looks like there might be enough reel left for another 50-75 feet of the same hose. YMMV.

Great Product and product Support!
Love this hose cart! Light weight but sturdy. Holds my extra long hose no problem. Came with an odd tire that was kind of squared off and flat. Aired up the tire and couple of weeks later it was flat again. I emailed the manufacturer and to my amazement and joy I got a new tire! Amazing customer service! How refreshing to not have to fight for what is right.

Doesn't transport the hose
This item is useless. When I ordered it, I thought that surely a device with four nice wheels would allow transport of the garden hose as I was using it. Well, silly me: this cart doesn't do that at all. I guess the four nice wheels are just for bringing it out of your garage to your water source. It just hooks up stationary to your spigot, and then the hose is supposed to reel off the drum and then be rolled back onto the drum when you're finished (a process which I have not yet been able to master without kinks developing). In other words, the cart doesn't go anywhere while you are using the hose. Which means I still have to drag the hose for some distance along the ground, and I can do that without the cart! Also, dragging the hose on the ground around my house means dragging it part of the way in gravel, which will eventually damage the hose, which is why I wanted a device that would allow transport of the hose while it is being used so it would not come into contact with the ground. This gadget doesn't do that at all, even after some creative attempts on my part to get it to do so. There's always a kink, no matter what I try. I guess I should return it, but I don't know if it's worth the trouble.

Cheap Quality, Rusts Immediately
The product has a cheap paint on it. It was purchased 3 months ago and already it chips and it is rusted. It is not heavy duty, and should have been painted with a more epoxy type material versus a cheap paint which on its own flakes, and then begins to rust. I was told by the Company that they recommend I paint it myself. Well, my recommendation back to you is, if I wanted to paint it myself, I wouldn't have purchased it.
