Nice Little Mixer
I haven't used this very many times as I just got it, but I can honestly say I was impressed w/the first use. I paid more than for previous mixers, but, so far, I think it was worth it. Other mixers had 3 speeds w/low being the lowest, which was anything but slow. They sent a dust cloud of dry ingredients all over. This mixer's low is actually slow & can mix dry ingredients without sending dust all over the counter and everything nearby. I wasn't sure I'd like the coating on the beaters. I've had some before & didn't like them, but the coating is a littler thicker than others I've had and work nicely. The beaters eject easily with the lever. I haven't tried the hooks (probably won't ever use them) and whisk that came with it yet. The storage case leaves a lot to be desired tho. It's convenient to pull the mixer out & have everything with it, but I struggle to unsnap it from the storage case & put it back on. I have arthritic hands making it a bit of a challenge, & I'm also afraid it's going to snap & break. I'm not knocking a star off for that. I'm rating the mixer, not the storage case.

Love the low speed to start
Great mixer! I found that if I use a deeper bowl, there's no splatter issue. I like it as well as my KA hand mixer. Would recommend to anyone needing a hand mixer at a decent price.

Great mixer!
I bought this as a gift for my Mom. She used it to bake a cake. She says she loves it better than her kitchen aid mixer (the one that is stationary mixer with the bowl). This one has slow start which is great for mixing!

Nice mixer but not "Professional"
I have this mixer for about a month. I've made whipped cream, cookies and brownies with it. The gearing starts really low and the difference between lowest and highest speed ramps up very slowly. At first I thought it wasn't going to work because it seemed so underpowered. But it handled a stiff dough just fine, and I could whip cream with the beaters or the wick quickly. The risk is a little flimsy so I am not sure how well it will hold up. The beaters have a coating on them which makes it quieter (when you hit the side of the mixing bowl) and they are easy to clean.I rated it 4 on holding because the way you increase/decreas speed is by rolling a wheel backwards and forward. The wheel is on top, so you need to be good with your thumb. rotates easy enough it's just awkward if you start slow to prevent spatter and then rev it up. Also, the trigger to release the beater is under the handle in a way that means you could accidentally pull it. I assume they won't come out if it is running, but could still be a mess for what you are making. Finally, the plastic case is a good idea, but I found it hard to open and you have to fit everything in just so if you want the cord to go in. I don't lock it down now, I just have the mixer sitting on top of it with the cord and accessories in it.Overall, a good mixer that has worked well to far. Easy to clean. Motor is quiet.

A better mixer
Great mixer with good attachments. I love the coated beaters and the slower speeds. I probably will not use the dough attachments, I usually do alot of dough at a time, but you have them for small amounts if needed

Nice Hand Mixer
I'd read several negative reviews on this, but wanted to try it for myself. I'm glad I did. It's quiet, easy to hold, doesn't scratch up the bowl, whether glass or metal, and includes very handy attachments. I don't do the homemade bread thing (yet), but hope to get time soon to do so and see how it works. Everything else I've done with it, it seems to have plenty of power. I have a 44-yr old Hamilton Beach that still works just fine - it's quite a bit louder than my new one (has always been loud), but I wanted something that was rubberized. I LOVE, also, that it doesn't sling batter. Nice to have the accessory-holder that the mixer snaps down into. My only complaint is that the power cord is not detachable, unlike my 44-yr old Hamilton Beach. HB should consider reverting back to detachable power cords! But still, a nice little mixer.

Does a Super Job
Love how everything fits inside a case. Has a low start to eliminate splash. Does such a good job I seldom use my large Kitchenaide mixer.
