This Double Locking Basin Outlet works with any type plastic/pvc pipe, perforated or not, rigid or flexible. The pipe just has to have a 3" or 4" diameter in order for it to connect to the outlet. These outlets will enhance the effectiveness of any drainage project you may have. Instead of just connecting perforated or solid pipe through/around your flooded area, connect each section of pipe with these basin drain outlets. This will help remove surface water much quicker than waiting for it to penetrate the soil (which may be clayish and so will take a long time) to enter your perforated pipe. NDS is sold in all the home improvement stores and the double locking outlets are very hard to find in stock, especially now in the spring. Price is competitive at $14.00.

As expected

These cast basins work great for a French drain install. Don't waste your money on the deeper ones all you have to do is add a 6" pipe extension if you need it deeper. Apple drains on YouTube has a great video on doing that. Those deeper ones are upwards of 50 bucks and you can do the exact same thing with these. Highly reccomend.

Perfect fit for 4 inch PVC drain pipe or you can use corrugated. Buy the lid style you want.

I am using one of these for a scum filter housing AFTER the septic tank, as I have the old concrete tank with heavy lid, so easier to filter on the exit pipe. As stated, these are just soil tight, and you will have to use something like spay rubber to complete the seal. The old style was capable of a water tight seal, but as with most things, NDS decided to simplify with a push on design, and lost the water tight seal in the process.
