No gathering thread but good
Couldn't use this bc it didn't have the gathering thread at the top and I had a round hem. So check it before u buy.

Added so much poof to my daughters dress! Love it
Really added some poof to my daughters dress! Ive seen pictures of dresses or skirts with horsehair braid but never used it till now. My daughter wanted a gingerbread dress for christmas. I had a layer of red tulle and bought fabric dye to dye part of the horsehair braid but long story short, dying doesnt work on it 😂 it just turned a really light pink/orange color. Because of lack of time, I left the red layer without the horsehair braid but had a layer on the white tulle layer and the top cotton fabric layer and it looks soo good and poofy! It does take awhile to sew since generally you should use it on double circle skirts, but in the end it was soo worth it! May buy some red this year to finish the red tulle layer.

Easy to use
Gets the job done! I personally layered the horse hair with my project to give it more stability but it was easy to do! Good value for the cost

Horsehair braid
I had never used horsehair braid before. I was shortening a bridal dress for my granddaughter. This was similar to what was in the dress. It raveled on the edges, so I ended up zigzagging the edges. It looked bad, but stopped the raveling, and no one will ever see it inside the three layers of hem material.

Not my favorite.
I had a really hard time working with this horse hair, it would catch the needle constantly and cause a pull in the hair everytime. But besides the frustration it came out pretty nice

If you need black horsehair buy black horsehair
Take some advice.You cannot colour it black. I tried and miserably miserably failed lmaooo. Decent mesh otherwise very bendy and supportive. Don't let cats near it either.
