The dot grid helps keep text and sketches in reasonable order. The tooth of the paper is fantastic for gel pens and for felt tips & fine liners, not quite as much as for graphite, so it feels really comfortable in regular use.

Personally I like the spiral book rather than these but it’s Rhodia so the paper is legit.

One would have to explain to me why does a pack of 3 costs more than 3 individual pads.

This dot grid paper is very nice for fountain pen ink. There is better, but it's a lot more money. This is a good value, especially this nice three pack! I love the subtle dot grid. It's not for every situation, but I do love writing on it. It helps you have nice straight lines. Even for artwork, it's great! And if you have artwork that you want to scan in...it is subtle enough to easily filter out in Photoshop or other programs. Just tweak the settings a bit and the light dots disappear. The smooth finish lets my ink shine! Especially those inks that can show a good amount of shading. I will always keep some of these pads handy!

I have bought various sizes of these Rhodia stapled pads and they have all been great. Very nice paper and sturdy construction. I like the way the cover folds around and out of the way, but is there when you need it. I think the dot pads are the most versatile, so that's what I get.This is a very simple and straightforward product, so there is not a lot to say other than praise its high quality. If you had to criticize anything, it's that the quality may be over-the-top if you are not a professional artist or engineer, but if you are an office products snob like I am, then you will appreciate these.
