Very nice carrier for the money.
I was surprised at the quality of this item at this price point. I went ahead and purchased it based on the positive reviews. I am not disappointed! It was pretty easy to put together. The only real issue I had was getting the hair pin through the receiver pin. I had to reverse the pin direction and wiggle it a bit to get it through. That could be as much due to my receiver box as the provided pin.I wasn't sure if the carrier would tilt forward for opening the hatch. As you can see from the photos that it does. That's great! It was easy to adjust to fit our bikes.A couple of things to know: 1. You need to make sure that your vehicle exhaust does NOT flow onto the carrier OR especially the bike tires. If it does, you will need a riser. Fortunately, I did not need a riser. 2. They recommend that you strap down the bikes to the rack, but they don't provide the straps. I'm using bungee cords and it works well. The only negative I have to say about it is that it does wobble a little more that I thought it would. I think you would have to spend several hundred more to get one with less wobble. This is not a big deal for me and it doesn't wobble enough to be a problem. It was easy take off the vehicle. The arms and vertical post easily come off for compact storage.I would recommend this to any friends or family looking for a hitch carrier.UPDATE: I tightened the bolt that servers as the hinge to tilt the carrier away from the vehicle. (See the 4th photo.) This has eliminated the wobble. I just carried my bike on a 160 mile round trip to do a ride at a national park. The carrier worked great! Once I arrived, I was quickly able to take it off the back of my car and stow it in the hatch while I rode my bike. Love this carrier!

Quality product
Works great, easy to assemble and use. Held bikes nice and secure. I added a tie down strap from the bed of my truck just to reduce a bit of the swaying which helps a lot.

decent bike carrier
This is a decent bike rack for the money. does wobble unless you ratchet strap it to the vehicle. which you should do with most racks anyway. easy to disassemble for storage.

Nice Rack.. looking good!
I like this bike rack it was easy to put together. I read a review about No instructions, there is a video in photo description. It will show you step by step . Easy as 123. Money well spent ! I like it!

Solid bike carrier
Assembly took me about 10 minutes for a quick and straightforward, especially with the helpful video on the product page. It holds two bikes securely, and the tilt feature is spot on. I can lower the tailgate without removing the bikes, which is a huge convenience. Solid product overall!

For the price the Bike Rack will do for the occassional user!!!
I'd really like to give this 5 starts for the price, but I can't. For $90, I should have known better, and did a little more homework.Pros:1. The materials very good and strong.2. Included printed instructions were good.3. Assembly was relatively easy.4. The rack tilts away from the vehicle. This is extremely useful when opening a hatch of a SUV.5. Hitch tightener is included. This is very useful.6. Price was good considering what you get.Cons:1. Engineering on the Rack was poor.2. In order to store the rack, you would need to be completely assembled it. This leaves many parts or the rack to keep track of. With some engineering, the bike rack could have designed to be folded (instead of disassembled) in a vertical position to minimize storage footprint.4. The J-hooks that go over the top tube are very difficult to adjust.5. The metal on end of the J-hooks are not covered leaving the bike vulnerable to scratches if not very careful.6. The adjustment knobs on the J-hooks are way too close to the down tube and can rub (possibly scratch) the lower tube of the bicycle.I purchased this rack based on price and the 2" hitch size (to minimize wobble). I currently have a similar unit that has the features that I described on the Con side. I paid considerably more for it, but it had a 1 1/4" hitch.I patrol trails in my area quite a bit, so I need to use rack quite often. For me to assemble the rack every time I need it would drive me nuts. I will live with my current rack with my 1 1/4" to 2" adapter. There is a little more wobble in it, but installation takes 5 minutes vs. 20 minutes. Needless to say, I'm sending it back...sorry guys!!!

Very Nice Product
Instructions are not great but looking it over its easy to figure out. Adding it to the truck is easy enough but its obviously a little awkward given what it easy. It seems really sturdy. My only complaint is the pin that is used to tilt the rack. When the bikes are mounted its difficult to get to it to tilt the rack to pull the inside bike off.For the price of this rack, its definitely a great buy for going between cycling sites. but I would definitely recommend looking for something else with built in protection if you ever plan to leave your bikes on the back of your vehicle while you are not present. There is no built in protection on this rack and its very easy to take it apart to get to your bikes even if they are chained to the rack.
