Quality rubber grips in ice and snow, not the cheap stuff.
I got these for $18 back in 2021 and wear them rarely, maybe a few times in the winter for short periods.Quality: They still feel like new and grip in the deep snow and ice (of course you can still slip). Dunlop is a high quality tire brand (think Goodyear, Michelin, etc.), and this unit, especially the rubber sole and lugs, feel like quality rubber that grips, not cheap plastic that is rigid, cracks, and would be slippery on water, ice or snow. These seem like they will remain completely waterproof unless something cracks or wears out, which is unlikely since they still feel soft and new.Size: I needed more room for orthopedic insoles, so I sized up a whole size. They slip on and off easy and seem ok in the short distances and times I use them (at most an hour or two around the property). I have no experience with them otherwise. Conclusion: No brainer - get these. Do not get any cheap, no-name brands made of cheap rubber or plastic that will make you slip and injure yourself.

• Wellington-style boots useful for most gardening uses
Gardening work requires some foot and leg protection, and these tall, Wellington-style boots are definitely useful for that purpose. They can be worn with either pants tucked-inside or outside depending on working conditions. Finger holes on the sides facilitate a grip for an easy slip-on.This boot works well for most light duty applications. If you work in areas with small stumps from bushes or other hidden obstructions, then the steel toe version of this boot might be a better choice to protect your feet from injury. This is not a snow boot as it is not insulated to protect feet from the cold. Yet, it could be used for walking short distances in the rain and through rain puddles because it will be water resistant as long as the boot material isn’t damaged from excessive wear. And as a light-duty boot, it will not be comfortable for walking long distances on sidewalks because it lacks proper foot cushioning. These boots are relatively light weight and fit loosely as is expected for this boot class. Best worn with socks to improve the fit and to comfort your feet and legs. Perspiration can accumulate on the inside, so do experiment with socks to mitigate this problem and to prevent chafed skin. While most gardening would be done in warmer weather, working in colder weather work will definitely chill extremities and require some denser and taller socks. The sole provides traction in soft soil and mitigates slipping on wet surfaces. Mud and soil will cling around the lugs, but this fact is expected while gardening. Cleanup is easy with cold water from a hose while light brushing to remove sole embedded and clinging mud.The size is relatively true-to-fit for boots, and most of us will want them slightly loose because air circulation while working is important to promote internal cooling and sweat evaporation.

Excellent boots
I wear these every single day for work and I couldn't be happier with them. They are durable. They fit well. They dont smell funny, and they work. Very very well.

Went half a size up so it would fit my leg better fits perfectly
Really comfortable boots. I'll probably use them year round so I don't dirty my good shoes. And yeah I went half a size up (10.5 to 11) and they slip on really easy but don't fall off even with pants and socks on. Definitely warm because it's water proof. Kinda thin rubber but it's easy to bend so you have good wiggle room. Kinda like Gardening boots. Just be careful if you have been outside in snow for awhile because the rubber on your shoes might get hard so might become slippery. That's any shoe though. I'm happy with em.

"Good Morning Vietnam!"
That is how it feels in hot and humid Southwest Florida especially during the summer. Our growing season is all year around with just a bit less growth in what some may call the "winter months". So I spend a lot of time in the wetlands surrounding our property trying to keep the invasive plants under control while avoiding the spikes, thorns, fire ants, poison ivy, and foot fungus that can become problems.I needed a lightweight yet durable rubber boot that was easy to put on (at 70 years of age) that would stand up to the various obstacles I encounter each day. Having the price be reasonable was also a big selling point since if I liked them, which I do, having an unexpected encounter with something sharp and hidden in the water would simply result in ordering another pair.Basically what you have here is a rubber snow boot like you would wear up north to keep your feet dry during storms. The big problem down here is simply the high ground water level compounded by tropical storms in the rainy season which tends to even keep your lawn soaked. Wearing these boots have kept me comfortable and dry while avoiding the flora and fauna problems that our wetlands challenge you with.

Top notch wellies
My Grandmother Jesse retired from Dunlop, Birmingham UK, my mother modelled for them & I ran Dunlop tires on my old 1970 T120R Bonneville so I couldn't resist buying a pair. They arrived at the perfect time as we currently have flooding & thick mud. They literally arrived about 20 minutes before sunset so I put them on immediately & went out to lock up the chickens & bring in some extra firewood. They feel great to wear. I am a size 10 but purchased size 11 as some reviews stated they tend to run small but I did not find this to be the case. However, the extra room is not noticeable when just shuffling around doing chores & I usually wear 2 pairs of socks in cold weather but if one intends on wearing these for walking purposes I suggest buying your actual size. Tread is excellent & the bell upper allows them to be pulled on & removed easily. The texture of the exterior also allows them to easily self clean, mud just seems to run off!
