A Superb translation - Beautiful!
I have had this for years now & just picked up the kindle version.I love this translation & it always comes in handy during the summer & winter Navratris - I read this instead of the sanskrit Devi Mahatmya.Apart from the usual stories of Mahishasura, Sumbh & Nisumbh, the author has collected some diverse & little known myths of the great Goddess. Highly recommended if you're a Shakta or want to know more about the Hindoo myths of the Goddess.

wonderful
if you are a devotee of the divine mother you need this book. it has the chandi incorporated into it but also lots of other stories which sometimes are distracting. but anytime you can read about the mother is a really good thing.

Devi Bhagavatam
Loved this book. Apart from the stories, this book also contains small slokas and also mentions the 1001 names of the goddess.

Good effort
I am still reading it. First off its a great effort and the book is very well written. However, it is a mere collection of stories from the original. It lacks the devotion inspiring pieces, and I prefer the original with all it's flaws.
