Does this work with a Wii U?

Works on my wii u and switch with very unimpressive speeds. 24-45mbps. Going to try the 3.0 version.

Does this convert my usb port to an ethernet port so that i can connect to wired internet?

Yup, plug it in your USB port of your laptop/computer and plug in your CAT cable on the other end and get some fast wired internet!! It really is between this Ugreen and the AmazonBasics ethernet adapter. If you have an older laptop and your wifi broke, then I would say this is the thing to buy since it's USB 2.0. I take my ethernet adapter with me on business trips because sometimes the wifi router at the hotel is funky and won't talk with my laptop. So, I plug in and I'm off!!! can I use it for Fire stick?

No, this one has full-size USB instead of micro so it won't plug in. Even if you get an adapter, the Amazon one has a passthrough for USB power built into theirs, and this one doesn't, so your Fire stick isn't going to power on. You need the official Amazon version.

Can i just plug into a wall?

The reason for this item is when you want to us your internet more privately and faster than Wi-Fi. The computers today do not have a Ethernet port, so this item lets you plug in your Ethernet cable into the big rectangular box and it converts it to a usb you can then plug into you computer
