This is a very soft mattress and lightweight. It can be challenging putting a fitted sheet on because it just wants to roll up and it is a challenge to clean I got it for my youngest and he has accidents on the mattress I thought I cleaned it properly but I was wong because black spots started to show up. The mattress is solid and lightweight with that being said it's not very thick and does not make it that comfortably took a while for my son to get used to it more like tolerate it. One upside I can say about this product is was perfect for camping but I would not buy this product again or recommend it for someone's everyday mattress but for camping yes.

I bought this for my sister because we love ours so much. Ours is almost 5 years old and being used by my second child. I seriously recommend this mattress to everyone I know who complains about their child's sleep. Most crib mattresses feel like sleeping on a taut, plastic tarp. This one is soft while still being plenty firm for a newborn. My 28lb 2yo doesn't sink in even on the toddler side. It is a million times better than any other crib mattress, and we will probably keep it to play on for many years after the crib itself is outgrown.

Wow.... 10 years since my parents bought a top of the line crib mattress with 2 sides (coils though). I am 5 kids down the road and I LOATHE changing the crib sheets and hauling that mammoth out of the crib. Besides that, I am shocked that baby #4 actually refuses to leave the crib. I think that 2 sided mattress is either concrete or board plank in terms of comfort. I cannot believe how amazing this mattress is. First of all... it is beautiful (but the outside is fabric... you will need a waterproof protector, or at least I'd use one!). It is SO comfy to just touch. The infant side really is firm, but not quite the "concrete" of our other mattress. Baby #5 transitioned from the soft bassinet, immediately! The toddler side... well it is so cozy, I don't want to let #4 try it... he'll want his little sister's bed! It is actually a comfy, though firm mattress. Sheets fit great without a fight, mattress drops into crib like a charm, but fits well... no gaps. Best of all... it is light as a feather. So easy to take in and out of crib to change sheets!!! I cannot recommend this enough. We wrapped it ( I always have wrapped our baby mattresses per NZ SIDS research), and I am planning on using it for guests and grandkids with the full-size folding crib we just got for baby #5... wish I had both of these items from the beginning!

We splurged on this mattress because we liked the idea that we wouldn't have to buy nanotube mattress when our son is a toddler. He is 7 weeks old and seems to like it though I can imagine that some babies might not like it if they like something firmer; it's softer than most and I'd sleep on it if it was big enough!I didn't give it five stars for this reason: The product description says its waterproof and easy to clean. Not so. My son, like many babies, takes extra iron, which is brown. He spit up several times one night and we tried to clean it the next day with a steam cleaner. The stain barely budged. For the amount of money we spent on this---and because of the product description---I didn't buy a mattress cover. I called Amazon and they replaced the mattress and sent us a new one. I bought a mattress protector this time but, again, you'd think you wouldn't need one based on the description.We didn't notice any smell when it arrived like some reviewers have stated.All in all, it seems like a good mattress.

Update: It’s been almost three years and this mattress is still great! There’s no sagging and no ident.My daughter has been sleeping on this mattress for about a year and it's just amazing. She always sleeps soundly and really enjoys going to her bed. The two softness levels, one on each side, is pretty neat. The firmer side was used when she was a small infant and we use the softer side now that she's over a year old. I do find it difficult to tell which side is which though. When it first arrived there were stickers on it saying which side was softer/firmer but those were taken off and now when I get it switched around I have to push a few times on both sides to figure it out. The comfort of this foam mattress is nothing like the hard plastic covered mattresses you usually see for kids. This one is more comparable to an adult's soft memory foam mattress. Because there is no hard cover on it it's important you get a mattress protector. I bought a Brooklyn Bamboo organic mattress cover to protect from baby mishaps and it has done the job well.

This mattress is a wonderful combination of soft and firm. My one year old sleeps very well on it. She actually likes going to bed and doesn't wake up at night, and toss and turn like she did on the mattress that came with our crib. Also there was no strange smell upon opening the brand new mattress. I would give it five stars except for the fact that it is ever so slightly longer than a normal size crib mattress.Regular Target or Walmart crib sheet won't fit. I ended up purchasing some nice cotton, Burt's bees crib sheets. They had a pretty deep pocket and plenty of elastic.

Who ever is saying it is "too soft" for an infant has lost there mind! Infant weighs about 5-10 lbs, they can not make a dent in anything. Even with that being sad it is NOT too soft what so ever. It is just perfect. It is soft to touch, just enough to be comfy and be safe for any baby or toddler. It is not lined with the very annoying plastic wrap so because of that is it very quite and your baby will not wake up as sweaty mess.I love it for the price and performance, we have had it now for about a year and it is still holding its shape, did not cave it, actually did not budge at all. It looks like I bought it yesterday.I did purchase all natural fabric liner to avoid overnight accidents and keep this mattress as new as possible longer. I would highly recommend it!
