do not put these under keycaps it makes for an awful mushy feeling and doesn't dampen noise really at all, but using these in other applications like mounting a top plate to a keyboard base works fine,, but i see alot of people buy these to dampen noise on a keyswitch and it does not do that

I bought these to make my SteelSeries Apex Pro keyboard a little quieter. The tools were effective and easy to use, I removed every key fairly quickly.The o-rings were quite effective, they have not made the keyboard silent, but the clicking noise has been reduced by ~50%. When typing normally the keys just make a gentle clicking noise instead of the loud 'clack' they made before.If you are in a similar situation I would definitely recommend them. It takes a while to add a ring to every key, but it is worth the effort. I put them on about 8 months ago and I have not noticed any rings breaking from regular use.I did have one broken o-ring in my bag, but the bag contains 208 so I had plenty to spare.

Very good for its price. The tool is really good and the rubber bands silence click really well. Ofcourse they won't silence completely, but I can't hear keys through headphones anymore.

Everything in the kit is good aside from keycap puller / switch puller. Bent out of shape on first cap. As a bundle it is pretty good though for the price.

I bought this to tone down my cherry mx Red's mechanical keyboard as I often play at night and dont want the others getting woken up by me.The keycap remover is really handy and better than the typical cheap one as it doesnt scrape my keycap. I would say the sound probably went down by 10-20 % though in return my keys felt spongy though it got some time to get use to.
