Good product but unexpected problem this time.
Product came with capsules clumped together, as if exposed to too much heat or moisture. I had not experienced that before.

Mystery Nutrition
"Proprietary" - Vitamin World's "Triple Omega 3-6-9" is something of a mystery product. Per the label you are getting 1,000 mg of oil per capsule but with no breakdown of how much of each form. All you can tell from the label is that you are getting 374 mg of Omega 3s, 100 mg of Omega 6s, and 78 mg of Omega 9s (Oleic Acid). There is no clue what the other 448 mg might be. So basically 50% of this product is a mystery. There is no information as to how much EPA or DHA this contains (the two key Omega 3 fatty acids that most people are looking to supplement)I emailed them to ask for a certificate of analysis but they never replied. So although they claim it is "purified" we have no idea what level of toxins have been left in.Update: They did finally respond to my request with "In response to your inquiry, we do apologize as we would not be able to provide you with the Certificate of Analysis."Basically this is another "cheap fish oil" product.

Went down fine just unsure of exactly what's in them as there is missing info as to what comprises the 1877mg that aren't listed
I had no problems with burping up fish oil, I only took one softgel with each meal, stretching them out over the day usually guarantees no problems for me. However I am a bit confused as how to compare this supplement with my other omega oil supplements, the product's listing for ingredients is kind of vague as to what else compromises the 3,000 mg per serving of 3 capsules when they state that there is 1,123 mg of Total Omega-3 Fatty Acids in a serving:Supplement FactsServing Size 3 SoftgelsServings Per Container 40Amount Per Serving % Daily ValueCalories 30Calories from Fat 25Total Fat 3 g 5%**Saturated Fat <1 g 2%**Polyunsaturated Fat 2 g ***Monounsaturated Fat 0.5 g ***Cholesterol 5 mg 2%Protein <1 g 2%**Triple Omega 3, 6, & 9 Proprietary Blend 3,000 mg (3 g) *** (Organic Flaxseed Oil, Ester-Omega® Fish Oil, Evening Primrose Oil *** (Borage Seed Oil *** (Typical Fatty Acid Profile: (Omega-3 *** (1,123 mg of Total Omega-3 Fatty Acids comprising of: *** (Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) *** (Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) *** (Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA) *** (Other Fatty Acids *** (Omega-6 *** (296 mg of Total Omega-6 Fatty Acids comprising of: *** (Linoleic Acid *** (Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) *** (Omega-9 *** (235 mg of Total Omega-9 Fatty Acids comprising of: *** (Oleic Acid *****Percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet.

A great source of toxin-free pharmaceutical-grade fish oil with flax, something that will raise the HDL ...
The older I get the fewer supplements I take, but I do take fish oil. I much prefer a pharmaceutical grade, which the Vitamin World is. With pharmaceutical grade there aren’t any mercury, dioxins, PCSs, or toxins. The price on these are now coming down considerably because molecularly distilled was way over fifty dollars for a similar quantity not all that long ago. They were sourcing from Norwegian waters, a preference for many. The fish used were anchovies, sardines, and mackerel. I don’t have any preference, but realize many other people do and can be very specific as to what they want. However, I’m not seeing any specific waters. For example, some fish oils use fish that are farmed in places like Chile, while others go the wild route in Alaskan waters. If we are looking at pharmaceutical grade, it has to be molecularly distilled. I do like to see which waters the fish are sourced from by the distillation will filter out any impurities. If you want the source water listed, you may wish to take a pass. One thing about pharmaceutical grade is that my body doesn’t have to work as hard to rid itself of toxins nor will it absorb them. I used to be on a statin, but since I’ve been flying solo on omegas my lipid panel has fallen to acceptable levels. I can’t say that it’s solely from one omega or another, but I can say that using fish oil has worked well for me. The flax is know to raise the HDL levels, something that worked for me when I added flax to my diet. The borage oil, something new to me, has several different uses according to WebMD. According to this source, “Borage seed oil contains a fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA seems to have anti-inflammatory effects. Borage flower might have an antioxidant effect.” I especially like the addition of the flax and am rather on the fence with the borage. I have shopped at Vitamin World before and it’s definitely a company I trust.SUPPLEMENT FACTS (abbreviated):Serving Size: 3 SoftgelsServings Per Container: 40 (120 softgels)Calories: 30Calories from Fat: 25Total Fat: 3 gSaturated Fat <1 gPolyunsaturated Fat 2 gMonounsaturated Fat 0.5 gCholesterol 5 mgProtein <1 gINGREDIENTS:Serving Size: 3 softgelsFish Oil: Anchovy, mackerel, sardineTriple Omega 3, 6, &9 proprietary blend.Organic flaxseed oil, ester-omega fish oil, evening primrose oil, borage seed oilNon-medicinal ingredients: Gelatin, vegetable glycerin, mixed natural tocopherolsRECOMMENDED LEVELS:☼ Minimum Daily Requirement: 500 mg EPA & DHA☼ Preventive Support: 900 mg EPA & DHA☼ Blood Triglyceride-Lowering: 2000-3000 mg EPA & DHA☼ Pregnancy and Lactation: 200-300 mg DHA☼ Children ages 1-8 years of age: 100-1500 mg EPA & DHA☼ Adolescents ages 9-13 years of age: 100-2000 mg EPA & DHA☼ Adolescents ages 14-18 years of age: 100-2500 mg EPA & DHA Sample provided for review.

Good quality
First Impressions: Opened the jar and hit with a powerful fish oil smell. I've noticed there is a massive range of "fishiness" in supplements these past few years. It concerns me when a product smells at all rancid because rancid oils are really bad for your body. The date is good on the product so I decided to ignore my nose and go ahead and try it.Second Impressions: I don't do fish oil supplements that have "second impressions" in the form of belching, reflux, lingering bad taste/breath, etc. Surprisingly (since the gels smelled so powerful) I didn't have any of the above with this supplement.Pricing: 3 softgels is a serving which makes this almost 50 cents per day. That's higher than I normally pay and more than I'm able to pay. If you have the funds it is probably not an unreasonable amount.Overall this seems to be a decent product, but as with all supplements, you really don't know exactly what you're getting--we're all at the mercy of the manufacturers and their material sources. There are a lot of steps along the way where I'm betting integrity and honesty in all of these companies is compromised.I take my supplements by leap of faith.
