Exceeded my wildest expectations. You have to try.
I cannot believe I am writing a review about an oiler can. I have grown up around mechanicing in the military, aviation and outdoors. I quickly learned that well lubricated equipment is more reliable, last longer, functions better, inhibits rust and corrosion, and is easy to clean. My life has depended on a well working rifle, aircraft or humvee before. Because of this I was always paying for basically Air in a Can with some WD-40. I went ahead and bought a gallon and tried cheap plastic spray bottles, but they crack in the sun and cannot take other solvents.Cut to the Chase: This oiler can is Made in America, is durable and small. Everything I need. It works great. I can apply a well controlled drop to just a folding pocket knife hinge or rifle bolt or spray a hard to reach nut and bolt combination to remove easily. The company offers many different models and a flexible application tube, but I went with just a short pipe. Has a nice, flat bottom that stand up great. Made of good, thick metal. Fits in a toil box easily. Simple to use and reliable. The price was excellent, especially for the quality. I know I'll save thousands of dollars in corrosion resistance and cans or aerosol WD-40 which is a little bit of WD-40 and AIR. Why pay for air? ONE CAN OF WD-40 COST MORE THEN ONE OF THESE OILERS which will last a lifetime. These will be used on a daily business at work and at home. Should have bought one years ago. This is such a solid item. A real must have if you are just beginning to get into mechanics or anything else. You'll save time from stripping bolts and wearing out hinges and rubber. Breaking bolts. or rusting stuff. One of the best buys I have made in a long time. Really happy with this.

Good oiler, no spoiler (sorry ...)
What a great oiler! And what a rare pleasure it is to buy something made in America. It's just like the one I used decades ago, with not a bit of plastic on the thing to be found -- all metal, and it works exactly as it's supposed to. I have experienced no leaks as others have, but I should add a word of caution: there is a thin cork gasket between the reservoir and the pump. Be careful not to overtighten, or you run the risk of distorting the gasket.

Made in USA!
These Goldenrod ”Oilers” Made in Hastings Nebraska, 68902 (USA) by a little company called Dutton and Lainson Company are the best thing since sliced bread! On par with the invention of beer! They are ”Made in USA!” And, this little Nebraska company should be a Fortune 100 Company in my book. They are a bastion of solid American production and will. Thank You! So, easily are our companies moved off shore. Yet, you weather the storm and drive on. Thank You! Keep it up and buy USA! I'm buying all their Oilers for my farm. All my out buildings and tractors have one with 30W American produced oil and I have unused ones of them on display in my antique and nick-nack room! They work well and are great! Every US household should have one with 30W for garage door lubrication and door hinges. Thank You Golden Rod! AA Paratrooper Dan!

Quality oiler, but with minor drawbacks.
Some things I like about it:* Made in USA* Quality feel to the entire oiler, especially the squeeze action. When you try-out the oilers at the parts storethey feel nasty, the plunger rod scrapes the back side of the hole (where it enters the cap). This handle feelsmore sturdy and seems better somehow.* The base has a nice sturdy looking/feeling coat of paint. No doubt it will look fine for many years.* The base is also flared at the bottom and seems like it will prove to be stable. What I do not like:* It is soldered poorly at the point where the spout passes through the cap. There is a lot of splatter and extra solder, Ipurchased two of these and they're both like that.* The cap must kept a little loose to use. If the cap is tightened all the way and the handle is squeezed/pumped, nooil will leave the spout. This is probably intentional; if the cap is tightened all the way and the oiler is carried in atool box, it is inevitable it will fall over, but not leak. So for users who carry this for mobile use, this could be a big plus.* The package was only just good enough. If it had been handled too much more I could imagine the oilers could havefallen out or been damaged.I purchased two of these, one for oil and the other for pushing brake fluid backwards, through the bleeder screw, to bleed my brakes. I purchased a short length of 1/4" gas line which fits securely onto this oiler's spout. The ugly solder is inexcusable, I would have easily given this 5 stars had the solder looked better.

LEAKS OIL
American-made junk unfortunately. They don't tell you that if you don't use your oiler regularly it will SPILL OIL EVERYWHERE. The excuse is because it's pressurized, but I've had oilers before that never had this issue.

Well Made
I bought an oil can at the local parts house and after three usages the non-metal spout fell off. What a waste of money. This one works well and looks like it will last a long time. Highly recommend.
