Helped get a splinter out of my dog’s paw!
My Shiba got a large splinter in his paw that had pushed all the way in, I put this on his paw, bandaged it up overnight and tried taking it out the next morning. After some manual pushing of the splinter I was able to push just enough out for me to take it out completely with tweezers. Saved a trip to the vet and a costly bill! Can’t believe how cheap and easily it worked! I’ll be keeping this in had at all times now.

Saved my foot!
We keep this at the ranch for our animals and minor bites and slivers. I’m a type 1 diabetic and stepped on a significant piece of wood that went to the bone and was buried in my foot. I immediately applied the salve then went to the doctor the next morning. It required surgery to remove, however there was ZERO bacteria or infection from the dirty wood! I know this ointment drew out the bacteria and saved my foot!

Always works to remove anything from inside your skin that's unwanted.
This stuff is very effective in drawing out anything that needs to be removed. I've used it on a friend a few times, from removing toxins from a spider bite, removing a cyst, cactus needles and a splinter. This stuff did them all, everytime. The only thing about it is that you must be very careful when you use it because it is messy and difficult to clean up after getting it on yout fingers, or too much on the affected area. Always use a bandage that will cover the entire area and then some. Dont use one that is too small. This stuff will stain anything it comes in contact with, but it will draw out anything you need it to. Within 2 to 3 days, it's removed and healed.

Drawing Salve
Drawing Salve is weird mountain cure stuff. The dark salve is known for drawing out poisons from your skin. The magic ingredient in drawing salve is this stuff, ichthammol. There's snake oil salespeople that sell that as a cure for all kinds of stuff, and there's the articles and studies and lawsuits to prove it. It is thought to exhibit anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antimycotic properties. It is made from Coal Tar. It's black and it stains. I'm sure some of the products that use it are not from the safest distillation purity processes. The FDA has outlawed some of the products. This is pharmaceutical grade which is why I opted for this brand. About once a year something bites or poisons me. I am not sure if it's fire ants, no see ums, or maybe it's poison oak or ivy. But I will get a couple of tiny pimples. One or a cluster of a few. The latest time it was on my hand. Last time it was on my foot. But the little pimples itch like you can't imagine. They don't spread, or burst, but they insanely itch. To where I will itch the skin off and end up with a big scar. Nothing works. Hydrocortisone spray doesn't make a difference. Itch creams don't matter. Benadryl liquid, spray and pills don't lessen the itch. PRID has worked for me before but I decided to try this stuff. It smells. It goes on like brown vaseline. It stains your skin. But it works. Within two days the cluster of itchy pimples stopped itching and gradually disappeared. This stuff claims to work on bug bites, poison oak etc, and boils. If it is ugly and itching it probably treats it. I would not use this stuff every day, it's made from coal tar and probably isn't great in other ways but if you have one of the above (poison, bite, boil) then this stuff will get at whatever is in your skin to cause that problem. Some say it works on cysts, pimples, and splinters. Worth a shot. I didn't feel anything while it was on, but it seemed to do the trick.

NO SALVE SMELL? NO PROBLEM! AWESOME, AWESOME PRODUCT!!!
I need to state up front that I just DON’T do reviews, so anyone searching my review history to make sure this isn’t a plant (as I’ve often done when something aroused my suspicion) may be misled into thinking it’s a paid commercial. It isn't. After dealing with a remarkably stubborn, resistant, infected carbuncular thingy on my inner thigh for over two months, and moving up gradually through nearly every product on the market that contained ichthammol (the ne plus ultra for treatment of all things icky, including stubborn infected splinters, cystic acne, boils, bad insect bites, carbuncles, cuts, you name it), I was about to give up when I came across GLOBE PHARMA'S ICHTHAMMOL OINTMENT 20% (DRAWING SALVE) in a manageable one ounce tube. When it arrived, I was disappointed to discover that it had absolutely no smell at all, and the color, although dark, wasn’t quite the same as any of the other ichthammol products I’d been using, including the 10% ichthammol, and the consistency seemed less dense. I fired off an irritated email to the seller (iTrifecta, really nice people) and immediately received a response stating that Globe had gone to great effort to defeat the particularly pungent stench, which is an unforgettable combination of burning asphalt, hot tar, and cat urine (my description, not theirs), a distinctive ear-mark of ichthammol, because so many people had complained about it. They urged me to try it for any condition listed on the label, and get back to them with the results, and told me that my next tube was on them. A generous offer, and while I was still dubious, I was also extremely desperate. Desperation won (not a big fan of doctors), I tried it, and the results have been spectacular!!!! There was a distinct improvement after the first day, and by the third, the improvement was beyond dramatic. Keep in mind that this thing had had more than two months to really dig in and make itself at home, had been treated with several other products to no effect, and suddenly, in 3 days, was as close to nearly gone as nearly gone gets. By the fifth day, it was gone-gone. This stuff is the real deal, with or without the distinctive stench, and I can’t say enough about it. Although looking at the length of this review, I guess I have. Try it!!! You’ll be a healed and happy convert. And if you’re not, the very nice staff at iTrifecta will make things right.
