Excellent picture quality for Dreamcast on 4K tv
Fantastic quality when playing a Sega Dreamcast on an LG 4K tv via HDMI. Picture quality is excellent and much better than I expected. I have only just started using the unit, so can’t comment on reliability, but for ease of use and quality is excellent.

Better than cheaper alternative for N64
Originally tried a similar product around £15 to get N64 on my modern Smart TV. The picture was awful, washed out and overexposed. With this product, the N64 has the right colours and looks great. Some slightly blurry parts as to be expected for blowing up such a low resolution onto a 55 inch TV, but if you are looking for a way to get N64 working over HDMI I strongly recommend this product

Used for PAL N64
What a fab item. Just worked. Remember to turn it on before you turn on what ever your using it with.

Not ideal for capturing old analogue video
Whilst the build quality is good, output stable and layout is tidy, what the spec doesn’t mention is that that the output is stretched to a 16:9 format. If you propose to use this to capture old analogue video, which, by its nature will be 4:3, you will find everyone in the video looks short and fat due to the change in ratio during conversion! I also think the out put is 60fps even if the input is 25fps. Which also increases the captured file size. If you’re happy with that, it’s a good purchase. For me, it’s not what I expected so unless I can find a good workaround, I shall be taking advantage of Amazons return policy.
