Q: Can this set on the ground or does it have to mount as an attachment to another piece of equipment

This only the spinner party and the control panel and battery compartment. It must be mounted onto whatever you want to put your feed into. 5 gallon bucket, barrel stand or whatever. I bought this to replace the American Feeder spinner I had that the deer broke. This is a very nice unit with great controls and easy mounting onto my existing 200 pound capacity barrel stand. I really like it. The best feed spot Neer I gave owned on 30 years of deer hunting. I would certainly buy it again.

This unit has a port to plug in the Moultrie Deluxe 6v solar panel.

Q: How much feed does this dispense at each time? I want to set this up to feed livestock while we’re gone so our farm sitter just checks things.

I use shell corn for deer but the way it works is with a timer. The spreader will spin at whatever time for how ever long u set it for
