This was the first time I ever used a " pinch collar". I have and 80 lb German Shepherd at 11 months old. I watched some training videos on youtube and seen professional trainers using this exact collar . So i bought it. What a game changer. Put it on my wild boy GSD to help with heel and not pulling while on a walk. A simple quick jerk with redirection and he is right beside me. I 100% recommend this collar. Bought this for our 100lb block of love. There's a lot of controversy over these collars, but if used right I've been told they can be a great training tool. In our case, it was to try to train our dog how to walk on leash without pulling. Sizing is right on, fit was great. Not too small and not too big. We removed two links for perfect fit. It's a solid, heavy and durable. It's a great quality collar. While it gave us the control we needed while training, unfortunately we have yet to meet our goals. No fault of the collar. We will be enrolling in professional training in addition to this.Bottom line I would say if you're looking for a collar like this buy it! Just please make sure you are fitting it correctly and using it right.

Highly recommend. Instantly helped my dog walk without pulling. Walked around the house with the collar and leash on. He understood immediately what he needed to do. Great quality.My dog is small (13 lbs) and very headstrong. I removed links until it fit below his ears as described.

While the prongs were perfectly rounded and spaced, and the collar worked well my dog was in-between sizes. If I removed a link it was too tight, if I added one it was too loose. It was a good collar and it worked with a wide flat collar to hold it up, but I wouldn't recommend it for a small dog, get the micro!

Works great and at a reasonable price!

Our trainer recommended a prong collar for leash walking and I was a little unsure at first, but it made a huge difference. My 6-month-old puppy usually pulls a lot which makes walks frustrating for both of us. Today was our first time using it and it was the best walk we’ve had. He was calm, responsive, and the pressure was gentle, not harsh. It gave me much better control and made the experience enjoyable for both of us. Looking forward to more stress-free walks!

I have a 2 yr old German Shepard mix, with the guidance of our trainer, I bought this collar. I will say, it is great! It's super durable, you're able to slightly adjust the circumference of it, and it's low profile. It is a slight pain to get on and off, but you're able to get a quick release from Herm Springer and I would definitely recommend getting that if you plan to use this regularly for any training. As far as the actual training goes, DO YOUR RESEARCH OR GET A TRAINER! If not used properly this collar can and will cause damage to your dog's neck. Know where to place it on the neck, and know not to pull to tightly on it when correcting behavior. When used properly it is a great training tool, but it shouldn't be your only tool. We have been using this for about a year now for various reasons, and he now associates it with going on walks (gets SUPER excited when he hears it lol), after correctly sizing it, I can confidently say I believe this will last for a long while. I would definitely recommend it, as long as you know how to use it.
