The other reviews stating how impressed they were with this set are true and it is a good sized chess set with awesome pieces for the money. I don't believe there is a greater value out there for a good chess like this one.Very satisfied and smiling still.

Great chess-set, terrible inlay.
Pieces are large and of good quality. What's even better is the board. The craftsmanship, varnish and embossed features are wonderful. The pieces *fly* off of it so it is suitable for blitz and bullet games.Inside the board are (plastic?) inlays. They're terrible. The first time I opened the box, a few pieces fell out immediately. One of the inlays refuses to stay in place and falls out of the board. This is usually the top one (i.e. the one you are opening to get to the pieces). I'm looking for an alternative to keep the pieces so I can get rid of these inlays altogether.

I love it
I got this Chess set for my grandson. It is very nice and put together very well. The pieces are sturdy and have some weight to them. The pieces are large enough to be moved easily without tipping over. The plastic molding to hold the pieces are a little flimsy other than that I am very satisfied with this chess set.

Well made, beautifully had-crafted appearance
Love the large size and details, and the feel of the chess pieces is substantial. Like the felt on the bottom of each. The board is beautiful. I was so happy I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend.
