A stunning beautifully illustrated book. Good quality paper, too.

Not only is this book lovely to look at, but it's an interesting read as well. If you're a fan of The Dark Crystal then you're sure to enjoy learning more about all the different creatures, and the artwork is lovely. There are pencil sketches as well as beautiful colour illustrations, they appear to be mainly watercolour and coloured pencil...so if you prefer crisp clean digital artwork you may be disappointed, but hopefully most people will appreciate this lovely artwork.The only downside for me is the fact that the text is quite small and I need a magnifying glass as well as my reading glasses to see it clearly, and the font is a handwriting style that makes it slightly harder to read. But despite the extra effort required to read it, I would still recommend this to fans of The Dark Crystal, and also anyone that enjoys fantasy art, imaginative stories and interesting fantasy creatures. A really lovely book.

Ideal if you want more than just watching the movie. Also, a great reminder if it's been a long time since seeing it.

This book is full of lavish hand drawn images. The whole book is very well layed out and it is very immersive. In my opinion it is quality throughout the whole book. It is a good size (in thickness and format) and is well worth the money. A must for any Dark Crystal, or even illustration fan.I like it so much that I will definatley be buying the similiar Labyrinth book. Very impressed and highly recommended.

This book is beautiful. Every illustration is a masterwork, the text is informative, delightful and in a wonderful, clear handwritten font the embossed cover has great feel and book exudes quality. This is an absolute must for any fans of The Dark Crystal and indeed art and fantasy in general.

What a gem of a book. Gorgeously illustrated book. Nicely written notes about each of the inhabitants of Thra. An excellent book for any fan of The Dark Crystal, Henson or fantastical creatures.Well worth the price
