A useful add on to optivisor
Can be used along with any Donegan optivisor. This lens is 2.5x and adds on to the magnification from the optivisor on one eye. Yes, you can choose to mount this either on the left or the right eye of the optivisor.

Good, but Gets Caught on Things Easily
The magnifier works well enough and is convenient to swivel into place when needed. The only negative is that you need to be careful with your head when it is swung out of the way on the visor. If you are using your visor as I do in confined spaces, it can easily catch on wires or other objects as it protrudes a significant distance away from the visor. So far I've only had it dislodge the visor from my head, but it seems possible that it could also snap the magnifier in two depending on how it catches.

Boosts magnification when needed.
Good sharp image when used. It does shorten the focal distance greatly, to just a few inches. Not a fault, but something a buyer should be aware of.

screw doesn't stay tight
other customers have mentioned this, but the little screw used to attach the magnifier is too short for the nut and it doesn't stay attached for more than a minute or too. I've lost two nuts already and gave up on using this.
