South Shore Vito 1-Drawer Nightstand, Pure White with Matte Nickel Handles

I ordered a bunch of the South Shore Vito collection (2x Nightstands, 2x 6 Drawer double dressers, the Storage bed, and Bookcase Headboard). All items were shipped and delivered quickly. The boxes are very heavy (the Night stands are fairly lightweight but dressers and especially the bed frame are very hard (the bed frame nearly impossible!) to move by yourself. The UPS guy was kind enough to help me move all of them inside my 2nd floor apartment (thank god there is an elevator!). All items were packaged extremely well, no damage to any of the pieces, and all parts were included.Assembly was very easy, just kind of time consuming (this was my first time assembling any furniture so if I can do it anyone can). All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a hammer. I assembled the two Nightstands and one of the 6 drawer dressers the first day while watching Scarface (so over the span of a little over 2 hours) by myself, having two or more people would definitely be awesome, not required at all as I had no difficulty assembling everything alone, but would definitely save you alot of time if you have more than one item to assemble.After assembly I wiped all the packaging dust off and applied a little windex, all the pieces are very sturdy (I have a loft apartment, bedroom is upstairs, as I was by myself I flipped the double dresser over and over up the stairs to get it up, the piece felt very solid, no loose parts or flimsyness) and everything looks great! I sent one of the double dressers back (without taking it out of the package) only because I underestimated their size, they are quite large, more than adequate in the space department, I have some closet space and along with one of these would be hard pressed to fill up the one, let alone two ha.Overall very satisfied with all the South Shore Items I ordered and assembled and would gladly order from them in the future.

I hope this helps someone...I purchased two nightstands, 6-drawer dresser and attaching mirror a couple of weeks ago and I love them all!First of all, I did the free shipping and it arrived two days before the estimated date. However, the boxes were a little wrinkled/crushed when I received them.The nightstands came in perfect condition though - no dents or dings on any of the pieces. The dresser pieces did come with a few dings on a few corners/edges but nothing the touch up pen couldn't take care of. (I'm pretty much a perfectionist and I don't notice them)All look great and weren't too hard to assemble. I thought the instructions were clear and precise for the most part. Sometimes you just have to use common knowledge! The nightstands took about an hour to assemble each and the dresser + mirror took about two hours. Be aware that the drawers for the dresser are side specific. We put it together and tried to just mix and match and I about had a heart attack when they wouldn't fit. But with drawer rearranging, they fit perfect.All three are sturdy, have even legs and easy sliding drawers. I was a little worried about the plastic drawer sliders instead of metal, but they were easy to assemble and slide great. The knobs are real metal as well -- which makes them look really good.I've only had them for about two weeks so I cannot say how long they will last, but they are good quality for the price. If you are looking for something modern, good-looking and cheap -- this is the way to go!

First off, the finished product is nice. Not stellar, but we’re talking about a lower priced night stand so let’s be honest.Follow the instructions, follow the instructions and follow the instructions. Sure, they’re just pictures and no words. Who cares? Most like it better that way anyways. It’s less confusing. It went together flawlessly. All parts fit, and all hardware was accounted for.For those talking about ‘cardboard’ backing and draw liners. Ugh, it’s Masonite, not cardboard. A very, very typical usage for that wood product.Sure the back gets nailed on, enough nails were supplied, and it’s even supposed to be screwed on the bottom with the supplied screws.For those complaining and worrying about the drawer bottom. Three of the four sides of the Masonite panel are set in grooves. Drawer front, and both sides. The rear is held in place to the drawer back using DIFFERENT nails then the ones you used to attach the back. They’re ribbed, and designed to prevent them from pulling out. I don’t see any problems with the drawer bottom coming out on me. It’s pretty study.Now, the drawer runners. I swear I freaked out when I saw they were plastic…However upon completion, they run smoother than any other non-metal drawer runner I’ve ever saw. I can easily see how they can bind, if the runners are not fully and evenly seated in their holes. If you put it together right, the drawer will run smooth as silk. There is even a special tool included in the hardware package for this purpose.In closing. Save yourself the aggravation and use a power drill where necessary when assembling. Just use common sense, and don’t use the drill on the half turn fasteners. You’ll need a square drive bit, along with a Philips. Make sure you fully seat the drawer runners. Use the correct nails in the correct locations.And most of all, use common sense. If you don’t have any you probably shouldn’t be assembly furniture anyways.

I bought two of these nightstands for my bedroom, I got them at a fantastic price and they arrived quickly as per usual for Amazon. Very easy to assemble, no issues with the drawers as I don't put a lot of heavy stuff in them, just odds and ends. I love that they are made in Canada. I ended up switching out the drawer knobs to match a piece of furniture I already had, but the knobs that came with it were cute and modern, very suitable to the nightstand. One word of warning - the instructions say not to get the surface wet. No big deal, we use coasters anyways, but something to be aware of, the finish will not withstand wet drink rings.

this is not my first purchase from this company and it wont be my last... very easy to assemble, directions very clear.the fist one i bought, there was a piece that was scratched, so i sent a picture of the piece to the email on the direction papers, and within 5 days i received a new piece. very satisfied

i was impressed by the overall quality and the simplicity, the ease of assembly, how every part was labeled so neatly.(better instructions than some ikea product instructions) the manual was very well illustrated, even though it suggest 2 persons, i did it alone close to an hour.this review sheds a star only because of the finish! the corners of the nightstand are extraordinarily sharp. a hazard if you have kids running around. even though this is an easy fix with corner protectorsOverall impressed with the product for the price and especially local made! coupled with Amazon delivery bought 2 of these to go with our existing king size bed, no one can tell they were bought separate. these guys can definitely give the comp a run for their money.

I had ordered the matching dresser first and loved it so much and the quality was so good that I found the night stand and ordered that as well. Easy to put together and very sturdy and solid for the $. Thank you.
