Plane is a bit heavy but ok to use it now and then to use it every day you need a Stanley

Easy to use and fit's well in my hand. I already have a 40 year old plane but decided to buy a new one. I don't use my new plane very often, though when I do it's very sharp out of the box. I would recommend

I need a plane to shave abit off my mums front door that was sticking and she coudnt open it !I have promised her for some time i would try to fix it.I have an electric planer but it can be abit to keen and end up taking to much off..and i dont have a waste bag so it makes alot of mess with the wood bits going everwhereI decided to buy this Hand one ..pretty much the cheapest hand plane ive seen..came next day and boy what a bargain for £22...iHowever when going to use it today i adjusted the blade for the reqired thickness of the curls..quite thin...each time bi planed the blade moved up so it didnt protrude from the base..all the knobs are tight as i could....had to keep adjusting it to get the job done..others on the reviews had the same problem..shame as it looks the part..oh and the vwooden handle was loose but wouldnt tighten anymore...Returning it for a refundPlease take note of my review as im sure you will have the same problem

Bit fiddly to initially setup correctly for trimming door but worked well once that was done nice job.

Seems solid, but the blade is blunt. So very blunt. I will need to spend a decent amount of time sharpening before I can even attempt to use it.
