What is the PreSonus Eris E5 designed for?

The Eris E5 is designed for mixing, editing, production, and critical listening in home and project studios. It delivers accurate, transparent playback with clean headroom and a wide sweet spot for confident monitoring decisions during long sessions.

Do I need a separate amplifier or receiver to use the Eris E5?

No. The PreSonus Eris E5 features 80W of onboard Class AB biamplification, so no additional gear is required. Just connect your source and start monitoring with tight, controlled low-end response and detailed high-frequency clarity.

Can I adjust the sound of the Eris E5 to fit my room?

Yes. The PreSonus Eris E5 includes Low-cut, Mid, and High controls plus three-way Acoustic Space tuning that compensates for wall and corner placement, so you get accurate, consistent monitoring even in untreated spaces.

What can I connect to the PreSonus Eris E5?

The PreSonus Eris E5 accepts balanced XLR, balanced 1/4-inch TRS, and unbalanced RCA inputs, plus a front-panel 1/8-inch stereo input and headphone output, making it easy to connect interfaces, mixers, and mobile devices.

How does the Eris E5 differ from a typical consumer speaker?

Unlike consumer speakers that color playback, the PreSonus Eris E5 is designed not to flatter but to inform, delivering an accurate, uncolored response so your mixes translate reliably from your room to every other playback system.
