HORUSDY Hex Key Allen Wrench Set, SAE & Metric Star Long Arm Ball End Hex Key Set, Industrial Grade Allen Wrench Set

I ordered this set because they looked similar to a set I've had for years that was missing a few wenches. The first time I used them, the 5/64 wrench broke, leaving the tip stuck in the screw. Upon inspection, the wrench appears to be made of a cast metal. Similar in appearance to pot metal and it won't stand up to demanding use. I should have realized that this set was to good to be true. You get what you pay for...If appearance is all that matters then these wrenches will look good in your toolbox. If you require them to perform as good as they look, then save yourself some grief and purchase something else.

While the set looks amazing and feel great as well I have had some issues with some of the Allen wrenches. I purchased these to replace my disappearing set from my work tool box, I found that some of the wrenches are not fitting into the Allen heads like they should. They have been to large or to small, this is on both SAE and METRIC. I thought that maybe it was just my screws having this issue because I have not seen this before, well most of my previous wrenches have been showing back up and I have had found that my more standard size that is used in my job do not fit properly.I would still recommend the product though the star wrenches alone make this worth the purchase.

Amazon warehouse didn't send one of the sets, but the received my money back and kept the products anyway so 2 thumbs up. The products themselves flex a little bit on tougher stuck bolts or screws, but these are not made for heavy duty trucks or machines so I doubt I'll ever break them. They are good, and I think the colors to differentiate is helpful too, you know at a glance if you remember which is which, to bring the correct set with you to the task at hand which is great.

Coating is actually high quality, both the chrome and the powder coat. Missing some of the "in between" sizes, would rather have seen those than the extra non ball end SAE set. Allens seem great but the metal is a little soft on the torx heads. However they do include the center hole for "security" style torx screws so that's nice. Instantly identifiable when they "accidentally" end up on someone else's bench.

I wouldn’t recommend any professional buy these sets. The brand is HORUSDY. They are cheaply made. I’ve been a tradesman for decades and these shouldn’t give or round over before the hardware (hex screw) does. The hardware these days are poor quality to begin with, Nevermind these Alan Keys being even worse to lose to a screw.I am very disappointed.
