A book that will claim a piece of your heart forever! 5+
Gabriel’s Redemption by Sylvain Reynard has been my most anticipated read of 2013. I’ve been wanting to have it my hot little hands since I found out that SR was going to write it, so when that moment finally arrived I was ecstatic. I’m just like any other reader when I begin a book…full of anticipation and excitement, and when it’s a favorite author’s book I’m also expectant. I set the bar higher for an author who is continuing a series, and to WoW! me isn’t an automatic, or an easy gimme.I’m thrilled to tell you that this book WoWed! me on every level. Lemme tell you a few reasons why…I’m a huge fan of the particular way that SR writes. I’m an extremely visual person, and for me to get completely engaged in a story I crave great descriptive writing. Once again I was able to “see” the story unfold in my head as I read it. The writing itself is stellar! If I were forced to choose just one quote to share with people it might be this one…“Tonight I’ll help you touch the stars. And when you fall back to earth, I promise to catch you.”The story itself is full of wonderful surprises, and if anyone is under the illusion that Gabriel’s Redemption is going to be predictable…you’re wrong. One of the things I loved best was all of the loose ends that are tied up. We finally get to know what was in THAT note from Gabriel’s Inferno that Julia tore up. Holy crap! I might just print it out and frame it. Seriously, I’ve been waiting on that for over two years people. We also learn about the debt between Katherine Picton and Gabriel. She’s truly a feisty and amazing character, and we get to learn a whole lot more about her. That’s just two of the many things you can look forward to.As for the continuation of Gabriel and Julia’s love story…it’s full of discovery. These 2 characters have come a long way, but their journey is far from over. Their love and passion for each other is beautiful, and while the heat between them isn’t written in what I would call a graphic manner… it is most certainly hot, steamy, and intense enough to make for one happy and satisfied Tamie. There’s a reason so many of us covet and lust after hunger for the Professor, and believe me when I tell you this…YOU. WILL. NOT. BE. DISAPPOINTED! If anything your fervor will only grow.Something else I really loved and appreciated was in how much better Gabriel and Julia handled disagreements and hurts caused by the other. This couple has certainly learned that communicating with each other brings better results than the alternative. Do they still stumble and fail?!? Absolutely they do, but they keep working at it. That being said…be prepared for some angsty moments that might well and truly PISS you off, or make you cry like a baby…including one heart stopping scene that caused me to quit breathing momentarily. Are you wondering about some of the other characters we’ve grown to love (or not) in this series? Rest assured that Paul, Christa, and Paulina each have an important contribution in Gabriel’s Redemption. Remember that I mentioned surprises? Yeah…those characters are part of them…Yup…I’m leaving it at that. O…and fans of the Snarky Narrator will be overjoyed with plenty of parentheticals full of wit, snark and humor. Would you expect anything less ;) Lastly, but certainly very important in terms of the story and continuity…there are many family scenes that involve both Gabriel’s side as well as Julia’s…and even more surprises. I told you there are LOTS of them didn’t I?!? I wasn’t kidding!I said it on Goodreads and I’ll say it here…Gabriel’s Redemption is easily my favorite book of 2013. Considering that I’ve read over 120 books so far this year…many of which were amazing and phenomenal…you’ll understand why this book gets my highest recommendation. It’s full of everything I love, want, and need. It’s jam-packed with so much wonderful that I could go on and on, but I’ll leave you with this. The road to Redemption is not an easy one…it is full of struggles…twists and turns…emotions of every kind that humans are capable of, but it’s a journey that this reader has enjoyed to the utmost. When I talk about book nirvana…this series is at the top of my list.My rating for Gabriel’s Redemption by Sylvain Reynard:A truly, madly floved it 5+ hearts!

Three is best!
I have to say I loved this more than I dared to hope. It was like one never left the characters(including the snarky narrator). The best part of the book's charm was(not you this time snarky narrator) the flashbacks that were woven in the story. A nice surprise to have many characters return. It background telling of locations stays memorable and better than any travel promotion. As always, it is about human condition of redemption, romance , forgiveness, emotion and the sex (yeah it is there).Mr. Reynard-Well and intelligently written.
