Thick and suitable for Indian style cooking.
Heavy bottom. Good for long duration sauteing. Food doesn't stick to bottom. Good product to buy.

Size appropriate for 2/3 servings
It’s perfect size for 2/3 servings worth of quantity. The metal part is light weight yet solid. The plastic is not that great. Ergonomically, it could be a bit of struggle to hold the lid.But it heats up pretty quickly and superbly even. Renders that unique taste to Indian food due to even hearing which sometimes is missing from non-stick cookware.Thoroughly happy with this purchase

Light and seamless cooking
Liked it as not heavy and the food does not stick if you put oil. But the surface seems little rough, I had smooth surface anodized Futura pans in India. I was expecting the same smoothness of surface which protects it from food sticking at all. (1 star loss for that)Cooking is seamless and washing is also easy. 2-liter is perfect for 3-4 people.

I love Hawkins! This is a well thought and perfectly executed product.
I jus love everything about this product. It's a perfect size for a small family and doesn't take too much space in kitchen. It's NOT a nonstick so no worries about wear and tear of the coating etc.. The lid sits nicely inside the vessel so if you leave the lid a bit open one side the steam doesn’t drip outside on counter top. Easy to clean as well. I highly recommend it.

OK but not a non stick
Buy something else if you can only boil stuff. Sabzi can stick if not cooked or fried with enough oil (that I don't like). It not a non stick and had more rough interior than a normal stainless steel utensil. Good points on sturdiness and smoothness outside.

Nice pan for small portions
I bought 2qt medium pan truthfully for cooking I will maybe not use because so small it’s very good for leftovers food store in fridge and hot in same pan plus you can use as serving pan for two or three peoples fine.I will buy 6qt if I like to cook.
