My mother was a home ec teacher (back when we had home ec) and I thought I knew a lot about running my home. (I don't always manage to DO what I know, and that's how I "met" Katie Berry, on her blog and in her book "30 Days to a Clean and Organized House.") So that's why I bought this book, because Katie's advice has REALLY made a difference in my home, and I knew I could trust her. Would it have much that I hadn't learned from mother, picked up along the way, or gotten from Katie's previous work? YES! When the book first came, I kept browsing and reading tips to my husband: "Hey, no wonder our potatoes sprout so fast . . ." or, "I didn't know this about steak . . . this will save money!" Or even: "I just found out how to get rid of fleas in the carpet. Now can we get a dog?" Yes, some things I knew, but some things I'd heard but forgotten, and other ideas were new to me. I'm glad I bought this useful book.

I enjoyed reading through all the tips and have referred to it many times. I agree with what one reviewer said, it would be helpful to have an index but on the other hand I understand why it doesn't because many tips would be hard to categorize. It compliments Katie Berry other book, 'How to clean your house.........'. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves household tips.

Lots of good things to know and good tips.

An old fashioned approach with common sense tips. Not necessarily a book to read through, although that is enjoyable, but very handy when you run into a problem and need a quick solution.

For a work of reference - this was very poorly laid out. Oddly paginated with centralized text. Amateur - and a shame because there were some reasonable ideas here.

A-Z of irritating tips of how to clean your house. I Couldn't be arsed really and decided to buy a load of cheat cleaning products from lidl instead to clean up once a week very quickly so I can go do something far more interesting instead..
