Gibbs Smith Peter Pan: A BabyLit Adventure Primer

Too basic for my 2yo. No story, just pictures and single words.

Love Peter Pan, and very happy that my little girl seems to as well. Her favorite characters are Tinkerbell and the Crocodile. However, unlike other characters shown in this book, theirs has the least contrasted colors. In photos it actually is a lot more clearer, than in person. If you read this to your child in a dim room before bed, they may not be able to make out much of the crocodile.We read this during the day, with her friend, for storytime, so seeing isn't that bad of a problem. Just thought I would point that out. Other characters have very pale pink (almost white) or ivory backgrounds so they really stand out.Added pictures that were all taken in the same lighting, which is a ceiling fan light at night.I'm a big Peter Pan fan, so I can overlook this. My daughter still can see her favorite characters. Just won't read this to her in dim lighting so she doesn't strain her eyes.It's super cute though, and the art is nice. Daughter loved the Midsummers Nights Dream Fairy Primer too, because the art details are kind of similar to this book. Also, she loves fairys, and Tink.

The pictures are cute and my 21 months old likes it, but I thought there would be more (or any, really) of the plot and story of Peter Pan included. We have tons of board books that can tell a story with few pages and little text, but all this book really does is introduce the characters.

We love baby lit classics! This book is adorable. However I had to knock off a star because Wendy Darling was not present in it at all!

for such a fun children's story I was really hoping this would introduce my toddler to the story of peter pan, but it just has some lovely, random, pictures of characters from peter pan with no explanation. super cute to look at if you are wanting a book of peter pan art.
