Honest review of Arsvita CD Laser Lens Cleaner Disc Cleaning Set for CD/VCD/DVD Player, Safe and Effective @ $8.99 at time of order.I ordered this hoping it would resolve the issue that I had with an older car with a 6-CD changer that I acquired in that it did not appear to be reading the CDs. I inserted this cleaning disc in the changer, it loaded, but nothing happened except for the same blinking on my CD player screen as with any other CD. So, I inserted this cleaning disc into my newer vehicle’s CD player. It immediately loaded and began playing music while displaying an icon likened to the disc cleaning. I shared all of this in the event that perhaps others would know to try it a CD/DVD/VCD player that you know is working if this cleaning disc does not work in one that you were having problems with already. I was not experiencing any problems with my newer vehicle’s CD player, so this was utilized as a maintenance cleaner in it. Other than saying it might take up to 30 minutes to complete cleaning, there are ZERO instructions or guidelines. I cannot afford to let my vehicle sit and idle while this cleans. I don’t want to take a chance of running the battery down somehow by just leaving the key with the accessory position on. So, I must use it while driving, and the music is not really my cup of tea (like what you might hear in an elevator).Meh:Arrived undamaged although it was shipped in its thin “CD box” and inside a CD storage case, in a non-padded, thin mailer.It has a limited number of recommended uses (about 30 according to the instructions), and it does not say what will happen or what to look for after the maximum number of uses has been reached.Made in China.Hopefully this honest review helps someone decide about this product.

Just got an old Sony 5 disc DVD player [because DVDs are back] that worked fine on my collection of DVD-R and older discs but started skipping on a brand new disc I was playing. Ran this until it stopped and skipping is 98% gone. thinking I may run it a few more times to clean 20yrs of grunge off the lazer. Worth it!

It could be a placebo or pure chance, only time will truly tell - but my PS3 Slim, well taken care of through the years, started to freeze for no reason with pretty much any game after some time. I tried everything from air duster to repasting even though the temps on it all ran normal or even lower than usual, and still would get the freezing. After doing research I was convinced it was either the HDD or Disc Drive failing. Changed the HDD for an SSD and it was still doing it. Finally decided to try to clean the laser and... to my surprise, it seems to have fixed the issue. I have teseted it multiple times on one game in particular which would freeze at the same point, and no more freezing after using this cleaner. But again, it could be a fluke or placebo... but so far after my testing, it seems to have cleaned the laser and made my console work fine again.I just ran the disc in the audio player on the PS3, let it play each of the 6 tracks for about 20 seconds. I do not think it needs much more use than that, and it is noisy and sounds like it could perhaps even do more harm than good if left running. But for a quick clean, I think this thing is fine. Should get a few uses out of it before needing a new one - the bristles on mine are already bent indicating I can clean maybe 4 or 5 more CD based systems with it before it becomes a *just* a CD of some of the worst music I've ever heard

The cd player in my car wasn’t working. I could put a cd in, but it would just spin and then eject the cd. I called to see what it would cost and was quoted $1000 since they said the whole system would have to be replaced. It has a screen and a back up camera, besides the radio and cd player and I guess that all would have needed to be replaced. I got this to see if the cd player was just dirty. Turns out it was! It cleaned the cd player and saved me $1000!! Highly recommend!!

I believe this item is more about peace of mind than actual noticeable difference in sound quality . Unless you were using your cd's as party plates I dont believe this item will make you hear any changes to your listening experience. The music on the cleaning cd is actually worth a listen now and then though, nive variety and very good.

My DVD player all of a sudden displayed No Disc on several movies I had recorded throughout the years and I thought my DVD player was toast. I have a collection of over 300 DVD's - movies, nature shows, personal parties etc.After thinking that maybe I could save several hundred dollar for a new one, I would try a Disc Cleaner. It started working like it was new immediately after cleaning so now I can enjoy favorites and things of the past.
