Durable
I have had these boots for about a year. They are in okay shape after a year which is for me decent. I use them for work and walk about 20,000 steps a day. Keens only last me 6months which are currently the same price as these. They are still water tight, as the keens would not be. The tread is only worn down in the front portion of the boot and a little bit at the heel. I am on roofs a lot and have good grip. I have been very impressed with support and ankle support to top it off they look nice! If you use these for hiking boots only they would last several years. These may last me another few months before they get uncomfortable.

Waterproofing failed
I purchased in April 24. It’s a very comfortable boot since day 1. 15 miles trekking and no blisters at all. In my opinion, the waterproof is weak. Didn’t last 6 months. Since than, wet feet. What a shame for the #1 or #2 waterproof boot of 2024.

11D review
11D - Fit to size. I wear them on a farm and they take a beating, but are very durable. They have no visible damage or tears from the daily work grind. They regularly get muddy and clean up easily after drying, with water and a light brush. They are so light I jogged in them to prep for a hiking trip. They fit my feet like comfortable gloves and the traction is very good.. I have no complaints, these are a great value, and I am glad I bought these.

LOVE THEM!
When the box arrived, I thought that it was empty because it was so light. Lightest, most comfortable hiking boots that i have ever worn

Toe Box Too Narrow
I love these boots! I hate these boots! My Salomon Men's X Ultra 4 are light weight, supportive, waterproof (eh, let's call them water resistant), and have great tread design. What's not to like? Well, they caused the toenail of my left big toe to fall off, for one! You see, although they are comfortable, the toe box is too narrow.I usually wear a men's US size 9 E. I read on Amazon that they tend to be a little narrow, so I ordered the size 9.5 Wide. I wore them around the house for a couple of days when they arrived, and, except for snugness around my big toes, they seemed to fit fine (they'll break in, right?). They also were comfortable hiking uphill. However, I found that a considerable amount of weight was directed to my big toes when hiking downhill. When I got home, I noted substantial bruising to my left big toe that soon turned my nail black. It looked worse than it felt, but the nail fell off about a month later.I still wear the boots when the terrain isn't hilly. But, these Salomon's aren't the all terrain boots that I thought I was buying.

so far so good
It's pretty new to me/ I only have about 80 miles on this boot so far. It's light enough. It's gore tex lined so it's both water proof and a little less cool/breathable than I like. I do like the arch support The ankle support is good for me.The toe box is just big enough.I don't like the insole that came with it, but my instep is high enough that a a thicker cushion wont fit with my foot ..My only real complaint is the laces are slippery enough that it is difficult to tieI will amend this after 250 miles or so..

Get a Wide if you need it!
Great boots! My second pair of Salomon's. Very comfortable and require no break in period. If you got a fat foot be sure to order it Wide.

Not worth the price tag
They constrict the toes causing plantar pain, very good in terms of water proofing and traction. But they break in wrong and cause discomfort. Not a good buy
