Q: Can it be cut so I can have two 2 foot pieces

Yes, I cut mine into 2 pieces. Easy. Then ran an edge of a knife against one of the edges to get rid of the tiny bit of fray that occurred because I cut mine apart with a steak knife, but, hey, it worked.

Q: Does it have to be painted or can it be used as White?

It could be used as white or painted. I thought it was a great product!!

Q: Is this brush paintable?

Yes. It is easy to paint and has a little texture to the plastic.
