Compatible with/Replacement for Polaris Watercraft Jetski Starter For

Fit my 1987 Kawasaki X2 650. Was just spinning after install but I tapped with hammer and it started right up, I don’t think the grooves were engaged at the start. One trip on the water with it and ran great the whole time. Seems to be good quality as well(heavy duty). All cast aluminum and stainless rods going down side. Make sure to tighten the long rods before install to make sure there is a good seal mine came loose.

Works great for my 1999 Kawasaki STX 900 JetSki. No issues after a weekend on the water.I was able to replace the starter myself with the motor in place. Attempt at your own risk.— engine starting systems can be harmful or fatal. Disconnect battery!!! Pull the 2 mounting bolts (note location of black lead). I had to find a small ratchet that fit in the space and it took a while To work the ratchet and loosen the bolts. Don’t bother with the red lead until the starter is free. Wiggle the starter free from the front with a small prybar while pulling from the back. Move the red lead to the new starter and push the starter in until bolts lineup (this takes some force). Replace mounting bolts and black lead.
