Soil pH Meter, FV03 Upgraded Large Screen Soil Moisture/Sunlight/pH Tester Backyard Soil Test kit, Reliable Gardening Soil Tool for Garden, Farm, Lawn Indoor & Outdoor Use

I received the Fivota large screen Soil ph Meter shortly after ordering it, along with a second meter of a different brand. Upon inspection of the two, the Fivota meter was overall larger and therefore the meter box allowed for a much easier reading. The instruction pamphlet that came with it not only explained about and how to use the meter, it has a little chart of what range the soil dry/wetness of different plants should be. I really liked that useful information. After reading through the instructions, I immediately took both units out to the garden. Although both worked, I must say that I really liked the Fivota meter much better and wound up using it throughout the garden. The main reason being that it was so much easier to read; I didn’t need to kneel down to see what the indicator needle was pointing to. Even though I spent a little more money getting this particular meter unit, I am actually happy I did, This will be my main meter tool for the garden with the other meter being a backup should something happen (sometimes I do drop things). As of now, all I can say is I’m delighted with my purchase, yes, I would purchase this again and yes, I would recommend this product.

I use this to keep track of the soil moisture and ph in a worm bin. I did a chemical PH test in several areas around our yard and garden. I then used this to check the PH, it was very close to what I got from the chemical tests. One area in the garden was tested by a lab last year and both tests were spot on to the lab finding. All this to say I feel it’s pretty accurate. The moisture testing is a nice pulse too so I don’t need to get soil on my fingers when checking the bins moisture. It’s also handy with my plants too. So far it seems to be working well and the price was great too!

It is a sketchy experience buying soil meters on Amazon. They all look very similar, but with different brand names, some are noted as being terrible quality, and some products have high review scores...but when you read the actual reviews they are for ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PRODUCTS!This meter was not like that at all and worked perfectly, right out of the box. The light sensor is massive and accurate, and so are the PH & Moisture functions, especially at this price point. I trust this substantially more than any of those DIY soil sample kits, which don't seem accurate because they don't accommodate for the PH of your water which is necessary for the reading. These DIY tests are unlikely to be accurate unless they are performed professionally, which is expensive and cost-prohibitive especially when changing medias frequently/checking many kinds. I was attacked by the large dial and took a chance to replace an old reliable. Well, this did not last long. I did not abuse it trying to stick it into hard soil or any other known condition. It wasn’t long when one of the probes began flopping around and loose. I inspected more and I could hear a rattle inside the box. With nothing to lose in damaging anything as it no longer worked, I opened up the box hoping to see something I could fix.The prongs are connected to a thin plastic piece that broke in a few places. No chance of fixing it. Horrible design of not supporting the prongs. Did designers not consider cantilever forces on long prongs. Those ends should be strong, not the crappy thin connections.This product feels cheap from the get go. Too light, too flimsy and without a doubt in my assessment, worthless garbage. Look elsewhere for something better. I did just that, and bought something that might be better, but have not put it to the test yet. I just wanted to get a quick post out about this-avoid!

Works good for in indoor soft soil plants. Ran into harder soil and one rod broke inside the unit. Bought different type with one rod.

Bought this to check for the moisture of the soil for my potted plants. The worst thing for a plant is to much water not enough water. The bonus is you can check you ph and light as well.

I Purchased the Fivota Moisture/PH/Sunlight reader because I had several brown spots in my yard and I wanted to test the PH levels of the soil. This meter is easy to use. Just put it in the soil, wait 10 minutes and you will have your results! I tested several different areas of my yard. The meter gave me a neutral PH level in the green areas and a high Alkaline reading in the yellow areas. Readings were consistent and I can say that this meter is accurate. I tried the moisture level as well out in the yard and on a few indoor house plants and those readings were consistent with what I expected the moisture levels to be. Unfortunately the PH meter broke when I pushed it into my yard a little too hard. he moisture and and sunlight meters still work. I only damaged the PH probe. That is why I am only giving this four stars. Just a warning for those who purchase this to go gentle when putting it into the soil.
