Tropical Heat - Complete Series

This obscure TV series is like many later television shows such as 'Monk' and 'Psych' but with more action and PG-13 sex. I had never seen or heard of it before, but it looked interesting, and I gave it a shot being glad to have done so. It feels like watching 'Baywatch' with guns and crime-solving. The first 5-6 episodes are not very good and are quite cheesy (I almost stopped watching it), but as the show moves into season 2 it gets good as they flesh out the characters and humanize them. On a side note, the series has probably the longest intro of any TV series I have ever seen; taking roughly 5 min each episode to get through the slow opening credits with a not-so-good song. Anyways, season 3 is by far the best and has a few famous cameos in it. I ended up being actually surprised the series did not get more seasons as it was better than many 1980s shows which lasted longer and was as good as the above-mentioned series of later years. If it had gotten a bigger budget, I believe the series could have thrived for a few more years. The included movie is sort of a gimmick though, as it is simply 2 episodes from season 3 smooshed together in one long movie. It is worth $15 to $25 dollars and overall, I would give it an 8/10.

The picture quality is only fair; about like old VHS tapes. I suspect it was captured from old video tape since the colors are slightly smeared and the images have a faint halo. I have to chuckle when Florida "Key Mariah" scenery is shown. I have been to Florida numerous times but somehow missed the mountains in the background (of course, Florida has no mountains to show). The keys are actually only a few feet above sea level, but I suppose we are not expected to know that. The stories and acting are quite good, with a lot of humorous dialog. I have enjoyed it so far and will continue to chuckle when I see the mountains.

Package arrived on time , perfect condition too. This was well worth the money for the full series 10 discs , 66 episodes a feature film from the series all nicely packed in one package a super deal. AND if your a fan of CLINT WALKER - You will love this series even more - as this has the episode called THE LAST OF THE MAGNIFICENT Season 3 episode 13 -( Clint plays Dead Eye Dixon , but , you can see he is reliving his Cheyenne character too here . ) This is truly a excellent purchase for all CLINT WALKER FANS I highly encourage adding this to your collections as I have done. Clint is awesome in this series' episode. I give the seller 5 stars , the quality overall 100% . I will buy again from seller in the future.

Its a pleasant romp through the beach environment and criminal aprehension, but its not top notch photography or direction. Many of the beach scenes are snipped way short of real adult entertainment. Should be rated G minus as a series. I watched first disc and wondered if it was gonna improve on obvious short comings. You could easily find better entertainment for adults. I like miami vice and silk stalkings but this aint either. Thanks very much for the quick delivery folks.

There were no problems. The delivery was fast and efficient. Some time ago I ordered a James Bond DVD, The Spy Who loved me. The DVD was delivered but would not play. When I tried to play it, the TV screen said "wrong region" or something similar. I believe there was a plan to send me a replacement for this DVD.
