Berberine with Milk Thistle 500mg Formula HCL Complex Supplement with Silymarin for Better Absorption, 90 Vegetarian Capsules, 1 Bottle, Overall Health Support

I started taking this several months ago because I was having repeated bouts of diverticulitis. I was also taking Metformin for high blood sugars, but was having bad side effects from it. A doctor suggested I try Berberine for my digestive problems and mentioned it also might also help lower my glucose levels. After I started taking the Berberine (with no side effects), I noticed an improvement in my digestive system and have had no diverticulitis since July! When I had to stop the Metformin for a couple of days because of a medical test, I felt so much better, I couldn't bring myself to start it again. That was three months ago and my recent A1C was below 6. I am not saying Berberine cured me of anything, but I know I am going to keep taking it. I take two capsules per day, morning and evening. Take the capsules at different times of the day and not together. In other words take one 500mg capsule in the morning and another one at night. If you need another 500mg capsule then take another one mid day. I was about to give up on this product doing anything, but about halfway through the second month my numbers started to come down. I can't say it's because of this product alone though. I also implemented several other strategies and I believe they are all working synergistically. My fasting blood glucose has come down from average 200 to average 160. This is not a magic pill you can take and then sit back and wait for it to lower your blood sugar. I have to exercise daily and maintain a strict ketogenic diet. Things really started to change when I started this diet, that's why I'm not sure it's the Berberine or if it's the combination. Drinking green tea after each meal is also highly effective. It's all helping to activate AMPK which is what will turn things around. I will continue to take this product. I want to prove to my doctor that her prescription is not necessary.

My doctor wanted me to take Lipitor because my cholesterol was scary high (298). I have had hypothyroidism for years and now I am living without my thyroid due to cancer. Hypothyroidism is linked to high cholesterol and I have had it since I was 20 but it was creeping up much higher and I needed to do something. I don't want to take statin drugs so I decided to try this first along with some changes in my diet. I didn't tell my doctor because he is not for anything natural. I only received this product 2 weeks before he wanted to retest me to see if the "Lipitor" was working. So I was nervous that I hadn't been taking it long enough. But it brought my total cholesterol down to 213 in that short amount of time! I really don't think it was my diet changes because I wasn't very diligent with it. I have only been taking 2 a day and with meals. I have also dropped 7lbs. Not sure if it is the Berberine but I did read it can aid in weight loss. Definitely going to reorder when I get low!

I actually notice a difference taking these and I believe it's because they've added the silymarin for better absorbtion. I've bought several brands of berberine over the years with very little results. In this, you're getting ONLY 500 mg of berberine plus 100 mg of silymarin (milk thistle extract) per capsule. That's it! No fillers! I've now ordered and am taking my second bottle. I've lost ten pounds and I take 3-4 per day. I'm prediabetic, 49, and thought I was full on menopausal. However, I had a full period again much to my surprise. I was on Metformin for a year and a half, which helped create very slow weight loss, but never noticed any effect on my hormones. Plus I love that I'm automatically getting milk thistle for my liver without an extra pill to take. I truly feel if you're going to bother buying berberine, you may as well buy the best and this is it!!

I have PCOS and this has worked wonders for me in so many ways. I originally purchased it to help lower my blood sugar, which it has significantly. Metformin gave me terrible digestive problems, I have experienced no side effects from the Berberine at all. It also has helped curb my appetite and I have so much more energy. One thing I have also noticed, which I was not expecting, is a decrease in joint pain. This product is amazing! I highly recommend it. I already ordered another bottle.

Started taking Berberine with Milk Thistle (different brand) about 3-4 months ago. I measure my blood sugar before breakfast and dinner. I noticed a slight improvement in my "fasting" morning measurement but a significant improvement in my afternoon measurement (20-30 points lower). My blood work ten weeks after I started showed my A1C had dropped by 0.8% and my LDL had dropped nearly 30 points from the previous test. No change in diet or exercise. Well, long story short the first brand was doubled in price when I went to order it 6 weeks ago, so I thought I'd look for another brand. I can tell you after using this brand for 4 weeks it just doesn't have the same affect on my blood sugar. Blood sugar levels are in the 160's (not 150's) in the morning and 140-150s (not 120-130's) in the afternoon. I took both brands with a meal (3x daily). I know Berberine w/Milk Thistle works for me and I may order another bottle of these based on the price as it did sort of help. But I guess I'll have to pay twice what I was to get the one that worked the best.
